Let's put it this way
The only legitimately bad thing I've heard about the game so far is that loading takes a while and the loading screen sucks. Some people think that the game could use some level variety but this is pretty much it.

Don't think I've seen any negative impressions. Based off the 3 hours or so I've played:
If you like Demons/Dark Souls, you're going to love this. And if you don't, it'll kick your ass even harder, but you'll still love every second of it.
I really think it's fantastic so far with strong level design, unrivaled atmosphere, and very difficult and fast paced gameplay. It's everything a next gen Souls game should be, and I mean that in the best way.

I think that's right. From the alpha it also appeared that there were some unique moves/combos that required mid-combo transformations.

It's crazy to think this game, where every last detail is refined, and all the environments are startlingly beautiful, intricate and moody, and they have all these cool weapons and customization systems and such could ever be accused of being undercooked.
That said I think people are just jumpy because it's not out yet. When everyone has it in their hands, the load time thing will be a tiny blip because the game is so damn good.

I wonder if this will be the first game this gen to breach the 90 mark in MC. I hope all the guys who complained about Order reward games when they get it done right. Bloodborne reviewing well would be a great signal for the industry to prioritize the right things when it comes to game development - People want a perfect combination of brilliant gameplay and exemplary art work over sheer technological advancements with piss poor gameplay.

lol, I’m not talking about the players who are genuinely miffed about the load times. I’m talking about the folks with an agenda who latch on to whatever the latest thing is (6 weapons, AA, load times, no shields, etc.) to express false outrage and concern.
Yeah. On the PS4 and Xbox One.
The IGN video had way more shimmering than the actual game. Way more.

Yeah, you maintain everything but actually the first enemy of the game can still easily kill you. Happened to me, I was on a high after beating Demon's Souls and went confident to NG+ until the first thing killed me.

Impressions after reaching (and beating my head against) the third boss:

- Music is very good, but stylistically it seems very typical Western AAA game music. It's disapointing FROM is moving further from style of Demon's Souls, which was pretty much unique in the game world.
- There are far fewer kinds of items and
weapons to pick up. This 'streamlining' is a pretty smart way to differentiate it from other Souls games, but it does offer far fewer sources of lore, which is, again, dissapointing.
- I've found two 'notes', each of which offer a couple of sentences of background info on the setting. What's weird is that there is no real 'writing' in them (I.e. character, context), stylistically resembling the short tutorial messages from the beginning of the game. Not very From-like. Perhaps they were an idea by some producer guy at Sony.
- Art direction is excellent as always. Some minor framerate dips so far. Some times the background noise fades in/out too fast, like the indistinct chanting from the 'cult church' in old Yarnham.
- Blood-Starved Beast is not that hard movements-wise, but what always gets me is the poison and the instant death attack (or do I just not have enough HP?). With the lack of equipment, unlike with previous Souls games, I can't just essentially nullify poison with rings and high resistance armor...
- Farming for (blood echoes to buy) antidote sucks.
- I haven't managed to make effective use of the firearms against bosses. Does the stun feature work only during certain pre-attack animations or is the timing very specific?
- Handy tip: When dual wielding the halberd-like weapon, the torch still seems to affect the light fearing creatures of Old Yarnham, if it was equipped on your left hand.

I think there is one enemy that, at least I, haven't recognize. But it was on screen like 2 seconds, so you're probably OK.
I didn't know the Collector's had the OST too, yay.
