BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

Review embargo is up tomorrow right? I am still on the fence. Never played a Dark Souls game before.

I do believe so. Curious to see if this reviews higher than Dark Souls 2. Not that I place any real importance in Metacritic I just find it amusing that Dark Souls 2 is the highest rated so far.

To stream or not to stream, come Wednesday... that is the question...

Is there any more information regarding PvP? While DkS 2 wasn't as good as the other Souls games the PvP in that game was great and I had a lot of fun with it.

Finally managed to beat Dark Souls in less than 2 hours! Not an amazing time at all, but my personal best. Felt so good TT_TT

Now you can finally rest for a few months, Dark Souls, Bloodborne will take your place.

So i've been peeking at some streams, and it appears that a good amount of bosses lack intro cutscenes. Are they less common in this game, that would be a shame because they'd really be able to show off the visuals.

Chat tells Mobius: "Get between her legs and thrust." Mobius takes it as real advice on how to take down the boss and tries to explain how he was trying to use that tactic. I don't think he's even playing along with these jokes or trolling, he is either innocent or a dad.

The axe is powerful and looks badass, but it is too slow for me. I think I am going to have to start with the threaded cane or sawblade. I will probably use them both.

Wednesday? Don't you have the US digital version pre-ordered Yoshi? :O

I'm hoping my CE from Webhallen arrives tomorrow since it was sent on Friday, but if not at least my preload unlocks at 5AM CET on Tuesday.

I think he's just innocent. He was talking about how he didn't know what 4chan or reddit was yesterday.

Also this boss has new tactics now.

One thing I really want to know (I can't play until launch day),

How many different types of environments have players (or stream-viewers) encountered thus far. Every demo of the game has showed off the Victorian era/gothic city. The Beast Souls leak showed forest(ish) more lush environments. Without major story/encounter spoilers could someone describe the different environments (e.g. Forest, Caves, Snowy reigions, Sunny Areas, whether there's rivers/waterfalls/lava in them, etc.) I'm just really after a bullet point breakdown of variety.

Oh, and how significant each environment is in the greater length of the game (if possible), cheers!

Haha, haven't played yet either but I literally asked the same exact question like 2 pages back. Response I got was 5-6 distinct environments in the first 7-8 hours or so.

What are ya'll doing with weapons that don't fit your particular build? I have one that's like at an E rating and I'm thinking of just selling it. Not super certain if it'll ever come in handy.

How's the upgrade system in this game? I feel like Dark Souls' and especially Dark Souls 2's upgrade systems don't hold a candle to Demon's Souls.

Holy shit that attack on mobius stream where the boss
calls upon the stars and send it down
looks fucking amazing.
You see the galaxies swirling, holy fuck this game

It's funny how often I hear that from people who played Demon's first. I don't have a strong opinion on the "upgrade system" per se, it's neat that it branches in so many ways, but farming for materials is absolutely the worst thing about Demon's Souls. Only things I'd change about it (DeS) are the drop rate on Bladestone and make the crystal lizards respawn until killed (as in Dark Souls) with a 100% drop rate on one pure stone of each type per play through. It is infuriating as is.
