The clipping though... I almost don't want to use that sword just because of how distracting it is.

That's completely false. From death to spawn, minimum, you're looking at half a minute - in the very best case.

There's a lot to like here but don't downplay how terrible the loads are.

Don't know how Lords of the Fallen was, but haven't really noticed it in the few streams I've seen of Bloodborne. But then again, usually stream quality is quite low to actually make an exact opinion. I think people were saying that the effects happens on the edges (?). Anyway, definitely no old 3d movie feeling from anything I've seen so far.

I find this very interesting. I saw some very long loading times, especially in the first few streams I've seen (over 30 seconds but never something that close to an actual minute). But I've also seen really short ones (like Hoo-doo mentioned 10-12 seconds - right now I'm watching a stream where the loading times are even shorter). As someone stated before, it seems to vary, but I wonder what exactly influences it. Maybe the location? Then again I've not played the game yet and I've only seen a few streams and I'm also not implying you're not right about the loading times (since you're actually playing it).

have there been any pictures of the actual NA steelbook

i looked at an unboxing of the nightmare edition, and the art on that steelbook looks different (and better) than the one on the amazon page

i think someone here posted a picture of the CE box but nothing else

Dual wield question: do you need two weapons of the same type to dual wield? To get the most out of the move set like DS2?

Hahah, I can promise you Norway is more legal than Sweden. Just lucky, I guess. :p

I'm liking the game even more than Demons Souls, which is my favorite from from.

We'll see how it stands when I've completed it, but it's so fucking good already!

No dual wielding, it's a main hand weapon and a gun as the only options as far as I know. Some main hand weapons can be two-handed though.

Perhaps man, but when it comes to release date of movies, games, and anything alike, it's always "so fucking important" to be correct and never release anything early. It's always been like that, and I despise that about this country.

But whatever, as long as I get the game on release, I'm happy! I'm not going to be greedy or the Yang in Yin and Yang will bite me in the ass.

Since I started avoiding your stream (unwillingly, of course) after boss #3, I've been wondering what you think of the game! Still one of the best current gen experiences?

Well, you should get a job in one of the retailers like Webhallen. Their employees are known to start playing early due to snatching copies from their stock. :P

Teaching out will become a pain this morning... I went to bed like 11pm but the hype made my brain decide that it didn't want to sleep. I kept rotating in bed until 5am :(

Ok guys - first of all, I am 24 years old, BUT thanks to my parents I appreciate gaming since my baby years. So I have played through masterpieces like Chrono Trigger, NiEr, The Last of Us, Monkey Island Series, Zak Mckracken, Command & Conquer series, Commandos, Warcraft 1 - 3, WoW, the Souls Series, Uncharted Series, Metal Gear Solid Series (started with MG2) and many more so that you can get the gist, that I am allowed to say great things about this game.

The game looks fantastic. The soundtrack is so deep and nice it really fits every situation. The design of the enemies is creepy and so new with horrible new attacks that will wreck your shit.

There are so many "Oh shit" situations (also traps) and the new healing system and hub system is a good way of combining Dark Souls with Demons' Souls (GREAT).

Everything has the right weight and you will like the boss wrecking enemies with the Kirkhammer and your R2 charged attack.

The doll in the hub is cute and the gestures are such a nice detail. The rune system essentialy replaces magic rings so nothing bad here. Weapon upgrade progress is tied to your ingame progress (which stones you will find).

The bosses are fucking awesome. Aggressiv, fast, tanky but they all have their own weakpoints like riposting in the right moment or hitting certain body parts to get them down. The animations are crazy and even my friends couldn't believe how high quality everything looks.

The story so far is very sad, but I haven't really connected many points and many people said that I am halfway through.

The shortcuts are awesome too this time. Everything is even better connected than in Dark Souls.

Only negative point is the loading times in the world. To the hunters dream it's okay (about 10 seconds) and everything else is about 30-40 seconds... but there are worse things. :)
 
I can't believe im this excited about a game that is going to kick my ass so much. How long is it taking everyone to get use to not having a shield?
 
This is worse than Christmas. It's worse than waiting to lose your virginity. I feel like I'm going to spend the time until thursday chewing my fingernails.

6-7 hours? I was really stupid at the beginning and your have to change your playstyle if you played turtle or mage
