Bloodborne turns 10 today

I played Demon's Souls like 2 years ago and completed it, which gave me the confidence to try BB again. For these sorts of games to click, I had to change my mindset on a bunch of stuff like not worrying about death, not killing every enemy I see, etc. Specifically for BB, I learned that I needed to be more aggressive.

I think the first few times I tried to play it, I thought I had to kill every enemy in Central Yharnam, so whenever I died, it felt like a massive chore to go through the whole area again. Now that I realise I can run past some and open up shortcuts, it makes it a lot more manageable.

I'm gutted that The Duskbloods is some sort of battle royale thing, because I would legit buy a Switch 2 if it was another single player experience with similar vibes to BB.
i actually didn't go back to Bloodborne until after playing Dark Souls 1. it was slower and more forgiving. i did struggle with that too but once i clicked and beat it then i went back to Bloodborne.

my problem with bloodborne i think was running into a new area and tryng to take everyone out. once i learned to go slow and lure out individual enemies with the pebble i felt in control.

i forgot about The Duskbloods. i'll give it a shot when it comes out but can't say i'm too excited for it right now. Reminds me of Bloodborne a bit but i don't know.

There is a Bloodborne remaster, and it's by running ShadPS4 on PC. No hyperbole. With the latest performance improvements, i beat the base game at 4k 60fps (with frame gen to 120fps). I had one crash over the run, and that could've been because of some other program I was running at the same time.

Takes some doing to set up, but it's there if you want it.
