Kinda have to wonder, why do payment providers even care? If I'm offering a payment service and I get a small cut from every transaction, the hell do I care what is being bought? (as long as it is legal)
Use the proper subreddits to suite your needs instead of from the garbage heap that is Tumblr, you philistine.I didn't know OF had porn but I could care less if it goes the way of tumblr.
Funny enough I can still find nudity in tumblr without paying a single cent.
OnlyFans is positioning itself more as a forum for musicians, fitness instructors and chefs than sex workers.
The biggest issue anyone is going to run up against (and apparently the reason porn is getting banned from OnlyFans) is that payment processors aren't playing ball because they don't want the legal problems associated with sex trafficking's and / or having their brand associated with pornography. It's hard to collect money from people willing to pay if you can't accept Visa or Mastercard, and that includes third party processors like Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Paypal.Perfect opportunity to create a new platform to facilitate the markets needs.
100% serious
OnlyFans workers should galvanize to replicate the service.
Both Pimp and Whore.
If I had the capital I would be making a play right now before the employee base starts to splinter off.
I would guess that it is hard to know if it is legal - and they don't want to be linked to whatever scandal is bound to come down the line.Weird move.

People don't see the bigger picture here. Payment providers and investors are doing this. Onlyfans doesn't have a choice.
LoLGood luck with that, but they gotta keep investors and banks happy. I used it once and Wells Fargo freaked out like my identity got stolen. Made me feel dirty.
It was hilarious to think that people buy Playboy primarily to read articles. Yep, same deal here, they're gonna close down after a few months at best. Onlyfans is associated with nsfw stuff and they'd have to do a complete and expensive rebranding to change that. Don't see that happening. This is like when Playboy cut out the naked lady pictures. Or when Tumblr banned porn.
How are those two companies doing anyways?
I don't think that's how it works...AFAIK, most of the people there already do the "Softcore" stuff in other places since it's allowed almost everywhere, be it Twitch, twitter or Instagram, that's how they get the audience.I’d call lewds and nudes a form of softcore porn. They’re keeping those, so I think the site will be fine. You can find the hardcore shit anywhere.
I take a globalistic view: "damn, I guess this person is doing porn from home or abroad".My question is - are they planning on rebranding? OnlyFans is basically synonymous with online sex workers / porn now.
"Hey, you can find me on OnlyFans!" = If someone said this to your right now, you'd immediately think "damn, I guess this person is doing porn from home".
Are banks and payment providers pressuring porn sites? Or just OnlyFans? The changes are needed because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers, according to the company.
This is exactly it. Any moron knows that their name is synonymous with porn and they are about to take a massive, massive hit with this move. But the alternative was to shut down immediately (instead of in 6 months lol)People don't see the bigger picture here. Payment providers and investors are doing this. Onlyfans doesn't have a choice.
legalizing prostitution increases human traffickingThis is the way.
It's so stupid that in US it's illegal, this only creates black market with slave/traffick sex workers.
That's the real headline here. Why do these payment providers care about any of this stuff? Like, no shit underage porn or forced sex work is horrible, but why is this suddenly of interest to payment providers? Shouldn't it be the government (police?) who keeps an eye out for that stuff so no illegal activities happen?Another display of power from Mastercard and their peers. Last year they came for Pornhub, now they come for OnlyFans.
Current internet is a house of cards. It's site on top of another site like cloudflare which itself is running on top of some server provider like Amazon/microsoft. And to find your site you need another site like google. That's the real headline here. Why do these payment providers care about any of this stuff? Kinda scary that payment providers can now just decide to cut off an entire industry whenever they feel like it. I wonder what's behind this really, because it's losing them money for sure. I also doubt they're putting in as much work when it comes to child labor or arms trading in foreign countries.
Just go Bitcoin or similar payments, no more reliance on banks. Further why do they need investors if they're turning over $2Billion already. Clueless twats running that company by the sound of it.People don't see the bigger picture here. Payment providers and investors are doing this. Onlyfans doesn't have a choice.
I thought the point of sex was to procreate and pass on your genetics. Not to be degenerates and spread sexually transmitted diseases. As for the slave/trafficking of sex workers, blame the FBI, CIA and Mossad for that shit. This is the way.
