I dont see anything special about this (onlyfans)

If people want to see porn they can just visit pornsites ?

And isnt there plenty other platform like this? Fb, twitter, instagram, Snapchat?

Sorry for the ignorance but i never visit OF

Seems like Fansly is moving forward as the replacement already, lmao.
Kinda hope that Onlyfans creators sold their actions before making the decision public.

I have never been on there but my understanding was that OF was primarily a porn platform and them banning porn would be analogous to pornhub banning porn. Is there any other use case for that site other than this?
That’s it in a nutshell. Imagine trying to valuate your company, which specializes in wieners and buns, let’s say, but you’ve decided you’ll no longer sell wieners due their social stigma of being too phallic. There is no OnlyFans without the porn. Soft core pics ain’t gonna cut it, creators will just move to PornHub where they can fellate themselves for hundreds to thousands of $ a day.

From what I read it's about interaction with so called fans. They chat and talk to their simps and funnel money from them for some extra videos or pics or maybe even paid SEXLESS dates. Dumb fucks pay money to shake their hand and take a selfie together. That's the gist of it I think. You're paying for interaction and fake interest in you. To me it sounds horrible, degrading and disgusting... but it's obviously popular which means that demand is there.

Onlyfans was widely considered the Patreon of Porn, it gained legitimacy and popularity for being slightly less embarassing and low brow than dedicated porn sites cause (at least initially) it was known mostly for softcore teases rather than graphic pornography. This led to far more women being willing to participate and some level plausible deniability for paying Johns. Most of the Youtubers or Twitch Streamers with Onlyfan pages do not consider themselves to be any level of sex worker or porn actress and virtually all of them have old videos berating "sluts who sell themselves". They basically built a porn platform and somehow convinced a lot of people it wasn't a porn platform.

Twitch can be considered as a "light" version of OnlyFans. Will we have the same pressure from banks on Amazon to ban sexual content?

Good, ban it all and let's start afresh as a species.

What kind of society allows its women and children to be sold like commodities, ogled by sad losers who ironically have been created by the very system they vehemently defend.

I realise my views probably put me in the minority , so what though. As a father I wouldn't want this lifestyle for my daughter and I expect every other decent parent feels the same.

Do we really want terms like simps , incels , sex workers written in the history books to define what our culture was about!

No. You're still a part of majority.

But this is mostly a silent and INVISIBLE to online audience majority.

Look at the Twitter for example. You think it's just a SJW platform? Nope.

NSFW Twitter is a thing on itself. And who do you think post in there? Same 16/18 yo girls and boys.

But the thing is, people like you and me and maybe our parents are not on those platforms.

And young people doesn't use Facebook not because it's evil, but because it's a platform for "old people".

I never used it and don't plan to. There is plenty of porn for free.
Women exploiting men's sexual drive/arousal in my opinion is wrong.
I think there's a lot of dudes who run onlyfans too?

Only real difference is there's a lot more simp ass men in the world than women. Especially in the internet. Selling your bathwater to losers dumb enough to pay for it is peak capitalism imo.

Sex Worker IS already in the books you fool, prostitution is the oldest profession for a reason, people will always want sex, people are willing to provide it for a cost. Funny how it's always an issue when women are doing it for themselves and getting all the money.

Won’t someone weep for the poor prostitutes
That's the thing, the work WILL continue, they're already moving to another website. How many times will puritan values try and kill something that's been around longer than most things?

Fuck even if you're a Christian even fucking JESUS respected sex workers, that's how old this shit is.

Wow, no shit it's old. Who cares?

OnlyFans isn't changing their policy because of "puritan values" or whatever.

OF is changing for the same reason Tumblr, and pornhub, and every platform that gets overrun with user-submitted porn has to do. Most investors aren't going to take a risk on such dangerous content, because all you need is for someone to upload child porn, or something illegal, or whatever, and the company is fucked. It's safer for the company to pivot away from that if they want more funding from banks and payment providers like Visa.

It has nothing to do with "Christians" :messenger_tears_of_joy:

And you know what would help with that? A moderation and review process, reporting functions, etc, things the Sex Workers have been asking for! OF takes 20% on high earners, some of these women are paying OF over $100k a year, and where is the money going to? Not back into the website to safeguard things, it's all been pure profit for OF and that's why they're now worth over a billion (but laughable that's now dropping BECAUSE Sex Workers are leaving).

I think porn should be allowed on OF because, as has been said ad nauseum, it gives the 'talent' control over how they distribute their product, rather than having to rely on potentially fucked management agencies, or worse.

Loosely related question: Is Belle Delphine now less seductive to pervs after she's just gone the big P or more so? Hmmm

They should have split it into two, keep the original non explicit and create a separate one for explicit content.

There is nothing stopping sex workers from making the porn site of their dreams, with “reporting functions” out of the ass, and banks and payment providers would still be skeptical because at the end of the day, these people are selling vice. That comes with risks and drawbacks

The BBC investigation found out OF were not doing enough, like, they didn't even filter child porn terms outside of English! They were taking way too long to respond to accounts that clearly violated their terms and they were giving special treatment to celebrities and high earners so they could skim off the profits.

But the same will happen again, thus the cycle continues, a site will cater to Sex Workers, they use it, site gets popular, site earns a fuck load of money, site wants to go public, oh no banks don't like that, site gets rid of Sex Workers, site loses value like a falling brick, site creators cash out and jump ship.

😂 yeah I wonder why the banks are doing this

And….What’s the problem? Are we supposed to care about how “difficult” it is for sex workers and prostitutes to work online?

these women make bank. They can survive moving to a different website

The banks would've pushed regardless of the findings, but OF are clearly at fault for just hoarding money and not actually improving their service. Sex Workers have been asking for stricter measures since the start.

Lack of empathy comes across as just being a dick in this case. Don't you trade in crypto? How is this different from banks saying you can't invest in crypto because they deem it "unsafe"?

I’m sure these women were very concerned, in between counting their money 🙄😂

What the fuck does crypto have to do with this. You are really reaching here.

you just posted evidence of exactly why these sites are given extra scrutiny. I don’t know how it can be anymore clear why banks are skeptical of sites like this.

If pointing out reality means I have little empathy for thots, then oh fucking well I guess I’m the grinch. I don’t see any reasons to pretend to be angry over this

Weird, I thought you was pro-capitalist or is that only when Men are reaping it?

What the fuck does crypto have to do with this. You are really reaching here.
Because it's the banks turning around and saying "No, you can't spend money on Adult content by Sex Workers, it's unsafe", when just a few months ago (and in current) banks one by one are trying to prevent people from using their banks account being linked to crypto services for the same reason "because we deem it unsafe".

Were you OK with banks telling you that you're not allowed to invest in crypto or be involved with crypto? If not then why are you being smug about banks telling people they can't spend their money on Sex Work? Which one is oagboghi2?

“yes, I must hate women because I have a brain and I can understand Investors don’t want to be connected to child porn and prostitution.”

You do know you can buy crypto with cash, completely disconnected from any bank, right?

crypto are recognized as assets for now. Many banks are investing in crypto. No, it isn’t the same as paying for nude pictures or whatever you’re upset about.

I didn’t care. I bought crypto anyway

banks aren’t telling you where to use your money. All they are saying is they don’t invest in platforms that encourage prostitution. if OnlyFans wants access to the funds of institutional investors, they have to deal with that.

no one is taking your precious porn away. You would just have to go to a different website to get it.

Ahh there we go, you don't like the argument so you type out your usual rubbish spiel "w-w-well you must be a simp!"

Same with specific Sex Work. But let's get back to the point.

crypto are recognized as assets for now. Many banks are investing in crypto. No, it isn’t the same as paying for nude pictures or whatever you’re upset about.
But banks are also trying to prevent commoners from buying crypto. How would you like it if YOUR bank suddenly turned to you and said "No, we're not letting you use our cards to invest nor can you your account to withdraw from crypto"? Also "isn't the same as paying for pictures" bruh there's legit an entire side of crypto devoted to just that, NFT.

banks aren’t telling you where to use your money. All they are saying is they don’t invest in platforms that encourage prostitution. if OnlyFans wants access to the funds of institutional investors, they have to deal with that.
Except they do when they put pressure on platforms to mould to their standard. And OF are the ones at fault, why even go public? Why do such a piss poor job of moderation? What were they doing with the money they were banking? Greed got to them and in the end it backfired and is going to destroy them.

Women earning money obviously doesn't bother me in the slightest, I have a daughter after all.

But I would encourage more people to watch some documentaries about sex work. Louis Theroux does an excellent one. The only person he shows who was happy is a woman who is basically cuckolding her husband. He looked miserable and everyone else seemed damaged.

My point is behind the 'oh look you can make loads of easy money' the real consequences of this work is quite tragic and it's a soulless living.

I never used the site, but was it really always about porn? Why have that kind of service if porn is so easily accessible and free. I thought it was a way for women to just sell nudes.

If you act like one, what else can you expect to be called?

No it's not the same at all, and this is the entire point. Only fans require payment processors to even work. If Visa/Mastercard said they can't use their API's what is OF going to do?

Ask their users to pay their subscriptions via checks in the mail?

But banks are also trying to prevent commoners from buying crypto. How would you like it if YOUR bank suddenly turned to you and said "No, we're not letting you use our cards to invest nor can you your account to withdraw from crypto"? Not really. Some banks won't allow you to use their money to buy crypto(i.e. you can use credit cards on most exchanges) but generally speaking banks don't give. shit if you buy crypto.

For like the fifth time, this isn't about banks allowing you to buy anything. It's about banks not wanting to associate and invest into a user-submitted porn platform.

Except they do when they put pressure on platforms to mould to their standard. And OF are the ones at fault, why even go public? Why do such a piss poor job of moderation? What were they doing with the money they were banking? Greed got to them and in the end it backfired and is going to destroy them.

I'm sorry but this is just dumb.

Yeah, I'm sure "greed" is the issue here, and not that moderating platforms is incredibly difficult, costly and in the end, mostly ineffective.

You act like a prick but I'm sure you're not in person.

No it's not the same at all,
I never stated just OF, I stated Sex Work in general can be done with cash in the same manner you buy crypto with cash. Stop missing the point to remain angry.

Yeah, I'm sure "greed" is the issue here, and not that moderating platforms is incredibly difficult, costly and in the end, mostly ineffective.
When you're earning MILLIONS a month, yes, it's greed to try and use the excuse "but it's difficult to moderate", then hire more fucking people! Isn't that something you wanted in another thread too? More people to go back to work? There's a huge sector here for moderation that they could employ for but chose not to, again, they failed to even do a language check for certain terms!

For fuck sake man, this isn't being a simp, this is pointing out there's a huge market that needs proper moderation and control which Sex Workers ARE IN FAVOUR OF. This is a huge business and if ran properly then a billion is just the start! Think of the benefits, all this income, all these people paying tax, etc, just being cut off because banks and OF are doing a piss poor job.

I'm talking about OF. You want to cry for sex workers.

Why waste my time with this crypto comparison when you know it makes no sense.

Weird, I thought you was pro-capitalist or is that only when Men are reaping it?
Simp logic

"Company makes money, therefore it's okay to say stupid shit, because money is magic." :pie_eyeroll:

Hiring more people doesn't make it easier to moderate a platform. Companies multiple times the size of OF deal with user submitted content, and many of them have policies like zero-tolerance for porn, sex workers, beastiality, etc etc to mitigate the issue.

OF could waste a ton of money and resources to moderate a platform, and likely lose the investors they need to stay operational, or they could just do what youtube and other companies do, and have a zero tolerance policy for porn and prostitutes. 🤷‍♂️

As I said from the very start, if this is the case, than the sex workers should make this market, develop it and run it themselves. Are they? Not from what i see. It seems like most of them are crying on twitter.

So either they are incompetent, or...their actually isn't that big of a market demand for this. Either way, this isn't "Christians" or "evil banks". It's people having to face market reality. If you sell vice, the inflated profit margins come with drawbacks. In this case, instability

I think I'm old before my time as I had no idea what OnlyFans is/was. I Google'd it and was immediately linked to the OnlyFans account of Danielle 'Cash Me Outside' Bregoli, and now I'm sad. The internet ruins everything.
