So after maybe a good 7 years of cutting my own hair I finally broke down and went to the barbershop. I thought I did a pretty good job myself but i'd get comments sometimes about barbers being able to do better blah blah blah whatever. Got a couple recommendations for "black" barbers, went to one and 45 minutes later had my hair cut! although the atmosphere was something i did indeed miss was it really worth $14 + tip? I'd say he did do a better job in fading and the shape up(which i've been getting better at since these pics)but eh. theres barely a difference...or is there?

i'd say keep an inch or 2 and fade the sides.

you keep it really short, so i guess there's not much difference if you cut it on your own. though i would think the barber would do a much better job shaping the back and sides, and over the ears.

Your hair is really short, so I don't think it makes a difference.

Difference is: You keep your edges really sharp and even. He gave you curves as the left and right temples of your head begin. I suggest you keep cutting it youtself. It looks much better straight and even, then waivy.

I say do look me, get it done at the barber shop, try to maintain the blueprint he made but get back at him when your shit gets fucked.

You have a lot of hair so your options are endless. What kind of theme are you trying to achieve? You could go for the short spikey look to freak everyone out.

If you want to get really technical, the barber cut has a better transition from your hair to your forehead, if you know what I mean. More natural. Unless you can match that, keep going to the barber.

I got my hair cut a few days ago. It had gotten pretty long. Now it's as short as it's ever been. But I like it. Easy to manage and dead sexy.
