Oddly this was condemned by the Taliban, who spent years persecuting the Hazaras during their rule. The area they were protesting about is where the Taliban blew up the giant Buddhas.

I don't know how much pull ISIS has in Afghanistan, but they're in a turf war with Alqaeda and many other organizations.

People think that ISIS is at war with anybody that doesn't share their crazy ideology. But that is incorrect, they are at war with anybody who isn't them. The ideology is just a tool. That's like if two gangs didn't fight because they both use the same type of gun.

Well, yes and no. They're in an ideological or if you want to aliken it, street cred war with each other. Note that ISIS didn't attack the Taliban, but their same targets. They're after their followers, not the Taliban itself.
