Second question related to purchasing Borderlands 2 in this thread so I apologise for that but I'm almost set on purchasing it however I've put on the first game and instantly I remember why I stopped playing it and that is because I became ridiculously overpowered without any effort to do so. I was playing as the Siren and at level 63, after finishing the Controller and Elemental Paths (mostly) all challenge had dissipated as upon killing enemies you end up with shields quickly regenerating (Girl Power), Phoenix, increased movement (Intuition) and increased bullet damage/accuracy (Enforcer). As a result, it left combat ridiculously boring and almost tedious (which is why, when combined with the "Gather X quests", I had stopped the game).
What I'm wondering is ending up with a ridiculously over-powered character is as easy to achieve in Borderlands 2 as it is in the first game? True Vault Hunter Mode suggests that it isn't, but I'm hoping somebody that has progressed sufficiently far can give their opinion on the end-game difficulty and whether or not the game ends up laughably easy at the end. This really is the only thing holding me back from the game at the present time so any honest answers would be greatly appreciated.
