Only reason this fight sucked is because of Maidana. Compared this one to the Cotto fight and you can see how Maidana shouldn't even have been fighting Floyd to begin with.

That was Mayweather's most boring fight since the Ghost or maybe even as far back as Carlos Baldomir. At least he was dominant against Baldomir.

Assuming Pac Man gets past his fight in November, I think we will finally get Mayweather Pac Man next May.
4 years past its ideal date (March 2010), but both guys are still formidable enough that the fight will definitely count for legacy purposes.
Akin to Tyson Holyfield 96, which also had two past prime but still formidable fighters, thus it still counts. Though it wouldn't been better in 90 or Nov 91 (damn that alleged rib injury Tyson suffered 3 wks before that fight).
Lewis Tyson is what we want to avoid, a fight that doesn't count for anything, given that Tyson was 15 years past his peak. Thankfully Floyd and Pac Man are still high level fighters.

It's hard to take people seriously when they aren't really interested in the fight and only want to see one guy lose, then complain about the sport when that wish doesn't happen.
Also, people that hate the way Floyd fights wouldn't like a few other pound for pound top 10 guys, like Andre Ward or Guillermo Rigondeaux.
The sad thing is, Paq Mayweather 5 years pass when we should have had it, is still the best main event boxing can offer. There aren't any American fighters worth hyping up in 2014.
