That was an insane fight. A lot of sloppy shit at the end from Ortiz but you've got to give him some credit. Berto looked sharp for like a round, but I'm sorta shocked how easy he folded after a couple decent shots.

Juanma looked to be on his way to losing but that was a shitty, shitty stoppage.

Al Bernstein getting hit with a water bottle was hilarious.

I love Gus Johnson on commentary, screaming about everything.

Bob Arum is pissed, shoulda had Gamboa/Juanma when he had the chance.

Yeah the stoppage could have been delayed a bit. Juanma was still throwing and actually hit with a left hook before being stopped. It wasn't the first time he was in that position. Still, he was fighting very stupidly. He deserved the loss. Thank god I didn't pay to go see the fight live. Man that must be a disaster there

I've only seen him fight a few times, but he's looked identical to the other times I've watched his fights.
Doesn't like jabbing, willing to trade inside the pocket, good foot movement, can take plenty of shots.



Great night of boxing that had everyone I was watching the fights with cheering and going, "ohhhh", "Oh SHIT!", "How the fuck is he still standing?", "The Fuck?", "Dude!", etc...the entire night.

Wow, am only up to round 5 of Ortiz - Berto and boy is the ref doing his best to fuck this fight up. Constant breaking when Ortiz is doing clean work on the inside. Some of the shite coming out of the Haymon Box Office team is cringe worthy.

I'm glad Ortiz derailed the Berto hype train and also fucked up quite a few peoples plans as you know GBP were cashing him out here. Very impressed with Ortiz so far, the move up suits him and maybe he's laid that quitting ghost of the past to rest.

Glad he didn't stop it in the sixth, even though he was itching to and would've if Ortiz hadn't scored the KD. Bullshit point deduction from Ortiz yet no point deduction from Berto for constant clinching and a ridiculously close score from 2 of the judges tells you that they wanted to give it to the house fighter

Ortiz must have been cutting like fuck to get down to 140. 47 appears to be a much more natural weight for him.

He certainly silenced my doubting arse, that's for sure. If Khan eventually goes up to 147 I think it's a fight that has to happen. Apart from Manny and PBF the 140-147 division could really be anybody's, there doesn't seem to be one outstanding candidate there, although Ortiz will take some beating on that form.

Still not convinced Khan - Bradley will happen next, will most likely see Khan in with judah or JMM IMO.

Apparently, Agbeko collapsed at the airport and the doctor won't let him fight. Hope he recovers quickly.

Honestly I doubt Khan in almost every fight with a legit power puncher same as Berto at this point. Berto would have been outright murdered by Pacquiao in those first few rounds. Khan can probably outbox/jab anyone in the division but he doesn't seem to have great footwork at this point in his career. When he comes in for a flurry he always seems to take punches (Manny was like this earlier in his career). That's an issue because he can be seriously hurt.

Undoubtedly. Khan has extremely impressive handspeed but he still looks extremely amateurish at times and his chin will always be a worry against power punchers.

Looking forward to Darchinyan tonight. He doesn't always win, but I like his style.

Was it really that terrible? Prior to the ugly headbutt, it was a pretty good slugfest from Vic. Nonito would be a career-ender. I'd rather see him fight a notch below like Montiel or a rematch with Agbeko.

Darchiniyan needs to work on his conditioning. Vic was clearly winded by the end of round 3. Those heavy combinations took a toll.

Perez looked like a downright shot fighter. He couldn't pull the trigger worth a damn, was getting hit by slow, inaccurate shots... I think he's done. That or it was a seriously seriously off night.

Oh yeah, i'd be pissed as hell in that situation. Watching on TV, I thought it was average, but entertaining. Better than the majority of Friday Night Fights main events.

Did anyone watch the Solo Boxeo card on Saturday? The main event ended early, so they showed a light middleweight fight between two newcomers Jose Elizondo, and Jorge Espinoza. Even though it was his first professional fight, Elizondo put on a hell of a performance. Timing his opponent, staying elusive, and constantly throwing combinations. I think this guy is going places.

Brutal 4-round mini-war between Jose Sandoval and Andrew Rempp ended the televised card. Sandoval dominated, but ate some hard shots along the way. Both fighters showed a lot of heart, but Rempp didn't have the tools to make it competitive.

No but I watched FNF, very entertaining stuff from Molina.

And watching Peter Quillin destroy Jesse Brinkley in three rounds has made me a believer. This guy is a huge threat to anyone at 168. Watch out boys and girls.

I'll probably watch Pac-Mosley(won't pay for it) but it's always interesting to see where Pac is at in his career now that he's getting older. He looks like he's in ridiculous condition.

Bernard is an entertaining dude and sorta makes me believe that he can do it. He's selling tickets I just hope he can back it up and survive those early rounds.

Been watching the Showtime Extreme weigh in show for Pacquiao vs Mosley. Wow, this dude who is emceeing the event is really trying to sell Mosley as a serious threat to Manny and even said that he has had great performances lately which made me lol. He gassed against PBF and looked HORRIBLE against Mora. Boxing promoters have no fucking shame.
