Honestly i'm so burned out from the first MW that I won't be purchasing MW2 either, if I do get it eventually it will certainly be second hand.

The term ''biting your nose off to spite your face'' comes to mind. Activision will still make millions and still ship the same amount, the only person that will be losing out is the person not playing it.

That only applies when the game in question is good.

I'm surprised how many people see lack of dedicated servers as a minor issue. The possibility of MW2 not having dedicated servers never even occurred to me. I wasn't planning on buying it anyway, but it sucks to see a developer that was born and found massive success on the PC turn around and treat PC users like this years later. Hopefully there will be a big enough backlash that they will reconsider and add in dedicated server support at a later date.

CoD4's single player campaign was absolute drooling garbage so I have no intention of getting anything further in the series. I feel dirty enough putting down $40 on it. I may as well had been watching a bloody movie, I've never seen such a scripted and linear FPS before. And since I'm not a sniveling baby that has to have every big game that gets released, the fact that they're actively trying to fuck over consumers just solidifies this decision. Plenty of older games and steam weekend deals that will come up.

I'm definitely abstaining in support of my PC brothers. I'll rent it one day. Luckily I don't really get caught up in gaming hype, the kind that compels people to race out to buy a game the day it lands, so this isn't really hard for me. Plus there are so many damn good games out there already that need playing.
