I've started watching Breaking bad 1-4 over the past few weeks and Walking dead. I have to say AMC has been really pumping great shows as of late. Now I have to wait for season 5 :(

Ya they've been on par or better than the premium channels. I hope they keep it up after Breaking Bad is off the air.

I watched s1-4 in Oct+Nov. I'm done now. Wow, Walther turned (?) into a huuuge dick pretty quickly.

The only letdown I had was the last episode. They couldn't have done it even tackier and with an even worse practical effect, could they?

Yeah speaking of which, what are your top AMC shows, GAF?

I didn't claim it was recent, but it's pretty funny to think of Gus drink driving. Imagine if Hank had his GPS tracker on the car, the route would have been all over the place.

haven't seen rubicon or hell on wheels yet
Mad Men and Breaking Bad are A++ grade.
Walking Dead likes to oscillate between "good" and "awful". Averages out to about "barely above average."
The Killing is a pile of shit.

This season started way too slow for my taste. However, it picked up steam in the last 3 or 4 episodes. The finale was amazing. However, I have to say that I was waiting for Mike to show up again. Seems like he's the only big player left in this whole game. He's probably gonna have an even bigger role in the next season, hopefully.

You know, Before I went back and watched seasons 1-4 of BB, I went through seasons 1-3 of Arrested Development (for like the third or fourth time). So this site is killing me right now

just finished seasons 1 - 4 in a week.. HOLY FUCK THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD SHOW :|
I'm so late to the damn party! I didn't want it to end but I couldn't stop watching. There's so much intensity in this show and in every season. But episodes 10-13 of Season 4 are just incredible, this is may be my favorite tv show ever.

G'daymn I Can't wait for season 5!

Just finished season 4 this morning, and goddamn what a ride. This is probably my favorite show on TV right now.

My only problem with the season is that I felt they slightly jumped the shark in two spots where they really didn't need to.

First:
The way Ted Beneke dies. It was silly and sudden, and could have been handled better.

Second:
Gus getting up, walking out, and adjusting his suit despite half of his face being blown off. It was cool in a gory way, but felt silly and out of place.

Those only bothered me a small bit, and doesn't take away from the fact that the season was filled with some insanely tense moments. Can't wait to see how they wrap up this show!

Ted death fit the character well. He was an idiot and died like one. Plus in a earlier episode you see him trip on the same rug. Funny.

Gus was a bad ass right up until the end. It was kinda odd but shocking in that Breaking Bad sorta way.

Actually he trips on the rug earlier in the very same episode. Cool foreshadowing.

I just came in here to ask about how to watch season 3 & 4 if my country is too lame to air them on TV or release them on DVD....

..but I guess I won't be able to look for the reply if I get one...

If you can't get netflix in your country and there's no way to stream them online you could either import the dvds (except the season 4 dvd won't be out for a while) or download it in hundreds of locations online.

And the spoiler thing has always been policy. Just search for your own username and you should be safe.

The Zune Marketplace has the entire season available for download and streaming in 1080p HD 5.1 through the Xbox 360. You can also watch the episodes on your browser by visiting www.zune.com.

Man, the amount of detail in this show is just amazing. Almost on Arrested Development levels. Not sure if it was posted here about the significance of Colors on the show...but after reading that a few weeks ago, I researched it a little and found a lot of tidbits that people caught that I missed...

http://thegreathonk.blogspot.com/2009/02/colors-of-breaking-bad.html

And some comments I saw from AMC:
as anyone else thought it's funny that it's Mr. Pinkman and Mr. White in business together.....that there's got to be something to that? It reminds me of Reservoir Dogs and all the robbers (Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown).Walt is surely turning into Mr. Black.

In one of the previous episodes, Walt & Skylar attend the B-day party of Elliott Black, a former colleague...where it's mentioned that Walt, is the "White" of his company "Grey Matter."

That last one in a way can elude to what happened in the fallout between Walt and Elliot a.k.a Mr White vs Mr Black. White says they cut him out, Black took his girl? Theme of the show is essentially Mr. White becoming...Black? Grey Matter (Morality) all over the damn place. Mindblown.

Knew all of that already but yeah, it's awesome stuff. The color's always been superb on this show. My favorite would have to be Walt and the color green.

They're so good at stylizing totally mundane and believable clothes. Walt's outfits are iconic and completely generic at the same time. Brilliant stuff.

Just finished Season 3 last night, can't wait to start Season 4. Love the attention to detail and the characters in this show.

Going to try and hold out till they become available on Netflix Instant, but I may budge and buy it on iTunes.
