Hey GAF, fancy doing me a solid? Someone throw in I See You on bluray/DVD, check out the commentary and tell me if the writer Gennifer is male or female?

Shoot, wish I'd known about this. I'd ask him how he thought Buggin Out would deal with Gus' problems and Gus would deal with Buggin Out's problems.

:D

"AWWWWWWWHHHH!!!"

I burnt through season 1-4 in about a week. Such an awesome show. I coulda swore that they intended 4 to be the last. But whatever yo!

Started watching this on Netflix 2 weeks ago and now almost done season 3. I really love it. I really hope uncle wheelchair dude gets murdered soon by someone and that bell shoved up his ass. THAT BELL ARGHHGGGGGHGHGHG!!!

And the main cast is amazing but this show has the absolute worst acted secondary cast I've ever seen. All the drug dealers and Jesse's friends, the cops (hanks partner dude) are seriously horrible. It's almost like they're intentionally horrible or maybe they just seem horrible because the rest of the cast is just so good in comparison.

Favorite characters are Jesse and Gustavo.

HANK NO HANK NO HANK NO HANK NO!

Season 3 episode 7. Ending. No words.

Hank just shot up to major boss level status. That is....
If he is still alive :(

So glad those bald dudes are gone. Hated those assholes. They were so lame.

You don't have to spoiler tag things that already aired.

Which is why it's a bad idea for you to be in the S4 thread. We're openly discussing events in S4.

Try the LTTP thread instead.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? GET OUT! NOW.

I'm pretty good with training my eyes to avoid spoilers. I haven't even read any posts in this thread except the ones now telling me to gtfo. I usually just post my thoughts then leave. Coming back only to see if anyone quoted my post. Haven't been spoiled yet. Did the same thing with LOST and caught up without any major spoilers. I'm sick in bed marathoning today so I may be all caught up by nights end. Having said all this...I'm out this BITCH for now.

These last few posts have made me think back to when I first saw the ending to S03E07. That was, and will doubtless remain, one of the best 'action' sequences in television. Ridiculously tense, atmospheric, visceral and draining to watch.

OK, 3 episodes into Season 4. Skylar berates Walt for buying a 300 dollar bottle of champagne. Just prior she was making an 800k offer for a car wash.

I understand the thematic point the writers were trying to make here but unless I'm missing something this makes absolutely no sense.

She is using the car wash to launder the money. Buying an expensive bottle of champagne goes against the cover she is building for the family.

Finished season four recentness. I really like the show, but not as much as Mad Men. The final shot of the season finale was chilling, though.

I know why they want the car wash, that doesn't answer the issue I have at all. Her criticism of Walt is that people in the community could notice he's spending money he shouldn't have. Meanwhile she's negotiating a high 6-figure business purchase from a member of the community, who could potentially realize they shouldn't have that money.

One thing I really like about this show are the creative and great cold opens. Wendy and the Spanish Ballad are my favorites.

Skylar just has no real idea of how to manage this situation at all. When shown how much money Walt makes in a year, her response is "there's no way to justify the car wash making that much".

Her rant was about the fact that they obviously can't afford anything nice AFTER or DURING some a big purchase. The story is that they've exhausted all of their funds trying to acquire the carwash, therefore not being able to afford expensive champagne.

This. It was all clearly said in the show. There was an amount of money he was supposed to have won with his 'gambling problem,' and it was supposed to be exhausted between buying the car wash and paying for Hank's treatments.

Only in the sense that Walt is the 'hero' of the story. Realistically, everything she ever did after finding out who and what Walt really is was an attempt to protect herself and her family, including that. Walt is an epic asshole. Skylar's just caught in a terrible situation.

And before someone brings it up, jokingly or seriously, when she "fucked Ted" she was separated from Walt and was refusing him access to her home. She had every right to fuck whoever she wants because she was actively seeking to dissolve the marriage.

Walt is an asshole in essence that he's willing to throw Jesse under the bus if its vs him or his family. Jesse is #2 for him though.

hahaha.

"just so you know: it's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy and it is a big deal!"
"... I KNEW IT!"

Walt protects Jesse as much as Jesse protects Walt. In an essence, Jesse is like a son to Walt, and you will see that "father making his son perfect, so he will be strict with him" scenarios show up.

Walt is at times very selfish about Jesse and will ruin his life if it means keeping him perfect, like the death of all the people revolving Jesse's life.

Hmm, I dunno about that. I just watched the episode last night and don't recall her saying anything about the car wash in the champagne discussion. I'll watch the scene again tonight but I'm pretty sure not.

Then again, even if she did say that it still doesn't really make sense. They shouldn't be wanting anyone to know about the illegal gambling money besides Marie either.

I'm not a Skylar hater like some, bit I also don't think she's nearly as smart or in control as she thinks (and some viewers think).
