Breaking Bad - Season 4 - Sundays on AMC

The last few eps are kind of unpleasant to sit through. Don't get me wrong, it is great art, but I feel like they are winding a crank that is either going to snap or crush everything. The tone is very different than the previous seasons.

With all these talks about Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead getting budget cuts and stuff...you know what? I blame all of you suckers who stuck around for that piece of shit show The Killing from the first shit-tastic episode straight to the last shit episode and throughout the entire season complaining how shitty the show was...the entire time.

you guys suck.

Walt has also killed Krazy-8 and Emilio, allowed Jane to die, and is indirectly responsible for god knows how many deaths on Wayfarer 515, along with the attempted(?) suicide of Jane's father.

On Wayfarer 515 and, uh, he does manufacture large quantities of methamphetamine, so a few people may have died from that as well.

Interesting bit in this article.

The Land of Enchantment’s filmmaking boom, ushered in by former Gov. Bill Richardson's film industry tax incentives, took a hit in this year's legislative session. The 25 percent rebate on film project money was capped at $50 million a year. After one or two big-budget projects are shot, the reservoir could run dry, leaving no incentive—financially or otherwise—for anyone to shoot here for the rest of the year.

Possibly a big reason they don't want to deal with shooting 20 more episodes. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved to L.A. and used sets for the final season.

Yea, particularly for shooting at the homes. Shit is gonna look so obviously fake and different.
If I remember correctly, the only home they actually shoot the interior of is Hank and Marie's. I believe the rest are sets.

I don't disagree though that moving to LA would have a definite impact on the visual feel of the show.

Just saw it, great episode. Skyler came back with a vengeance, Marie went back to old habits, and Hank has gotten a purpose again.

But like others have said, it's getting a little annoying to see Jesse like this again. I'd rather see a new arc for him than this.

I'm a little surprised by the number of people commenting on this season's pace, to be honest. It's been pretty much consistent as far as I'm concerned. The series has never been shy about lingering a little longer on some scenes or showing a character in thought. And there are more than enough examples that when the show needs to get something done, it does so and delivers it with satisfaction.

Sounds like this season is entering the next phase.

It's probably the tease-me-into-thinking-something-exciting-is-gonna-happen-and-then-deliver-another-snoozer-like-fly-episode phase.

Tuning in now.

Oh man, they were playing Pulp Fiction before BB? I'm sad I missed that.
I hear from certain sources that Pulp Fiction is the perfect lead in to tonight's episode. Take that as you will.
