So Tyrus searched the room and had that metal detector thing, yet he didn't see the bomb that was taped to Tio's wheelchair tire in plain sight?

Unless I'm missing something isn't this a major plot hole?

It wasn't a metal detector. It was detecting radio frequencies I think.

Walt still had the bomb next door, he didn't attach it till tyrus left to call Gus

Why would Walt have stuck around outside the window if not to plant the bomb after Tyrus went back outside?

Didn't use it the second time is probably all. They didn't show it, so i'm just assuming that that's it.

I want to know how Tio blew up the bomb though. Was his bell just rigged to the detonator?

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
Short version of what Vince told me: Huell did, as Jesse initially guessed, lift the cigarette from Jesse while frisking him at Saul's office (Walt didn't need to get the cigarette itself; just to have it no longer be on Jesse's person), and the writers never entirely broke down how Walt might have gotten the berries to Brock, but knew he would have had enough time to do it.

Welp.

So you would have said "Well I deserve it, let me just go in there and get shot"
that sounds a lot like bullshit to me man.

In the first place, I would never have committed crimes to put my family and friends in danger anyway. That's the first clue you're a goddamn psychopath.

The point isn't that his choices aren't consistent with him being a psychopath. They are! That's exactly the type of thing I'd expect. The point is that people who think he isn't a psychopath are, in essence, burgeoning psychopaths themselves, incapable of understanding simple moral principles for which guides every humanistic person.

lol yeah, badass.

edit: that quote above is kind of bad, definitely some laziness, but just like I said before the speculation started, if Walt did do something to the kid it would just be added to the list of dubious things Walt does. I think the writers thought the same and that it wasn't a huge ass deal. Just another thang on Walt's resume. Aint no thang.

Yup. The multiple triggers until it exploded didn't connect with walt pressing the bomb multiple times until it triggered in the kitchen?

/am sad I thought that was brilliant.

Walt was still there hiding outside when Tyrus was searching the room with his device, so it's likely the bomb wasn't attached to the wheelchair yet.

Also, I'm not sure it was even a metal detector. I think it was some kind of device that would pick up on any sort of recording equipment/"bugs"..

Walt did all of this knowing that no innocents would get hurt. Walt=good guy.
Personally I agree.

It would have been easier to blow through shit not caring who got in the way.

THIS way? He gave the kid a non-fatal poison to make sure the kid didn't die AND that would get Jess off the hook because people would think he was behind it if he knew of the exact poison. This, in turn, got Jess fully on his side.

As for the lady he had go into his house. He knows that Gus wouldn't have his guys kill any random person who walks into his house. That would be kinda unprofessional wouldn't it? They're there to kill Walt, not any number of people who enter his home.

Does anyone have the original "spoiler pic"? I had never clicked on it.
It is basically gus standing in the doorway with his face blown off and his hand on his tie.

How the hell did it leak is what I want to know.

I'm really gonna miss Gus. He was an amazing antagonist, and he truly was Walt's equal. I think that's one of the reasons why I loved his character so much. Walt in a way assumed he'd be dealing with dumb, crazy, and psychotic drug dealers when go into the business, but then he meets this guy who is just as intelligent as he is, and not to mention way more ruthless than any of the guys he dealt with before.

He was definitely a major character, and really needed to go out in a big way. I thought it was perfect how he went out.

Parts of this finale were also comedy GOLD.

Just rewatched the explosion.

SOME FUCKING GOOEY EYEBALL MUSCLE REMNANTS ARE STILL MOVING IN GUS' HEAD AND MOVE IN SYNC WITH HIS OTHER EYEBALL.

Craziest CGI ever.

Metal detector?? Why would Tyrus have a metal detector? Wouldn't it have been going off like crazy from all the metal? Also, have you ever seen what a metal detector looks like?

It was a bug scanner, they were worried that the DEA had wiretapped Tio's room. And as far as the bomb is concerned, Tyrus didn't find it because Walt was outside Tio's room with the bomb.

HAHAHAHAHA at the wikipedia page for lilly of the valley, saw it on 4chan:

Convallaria majalis ( /ˌkɒnvəˈlɛəriə məˈdʒeɪlɨs/),[1] commonly known as the WALT POISONED BROCK or lily-of-the-valley',

Well, I just can't see him as a bad guy. He's just a dumbass who got himself into a fucked up situation and wants out while still wanting to protect his family. It really sounds black and white the way you talk about this. Walt is still a shade of gray.

Also, I read the Lily of the Valley Wiki page and it doesn't say that handling poisons you, only eating it. Just wash your hands after handling it.

Re-watching it now, Tio's board of letters method of communication is going to make re-watching parts of this episode incredibly tedious...

The only time Walt ever wants out is when he's about to die. He had his chance to get out and he just came back. He wants to be the one in control.

No, that's why Walt hid outside (and the whole "HI! HI! HI!" old women bit), he was waiting for Tyrus to leave to attach the bomb... and make sure what's his face was ready to die...

Tyrus was careless and didn't even check the room again and the bomb was attached to the seat, IIRC. It wouldn't easily be seen unless inspected carefully.

wikipedia page says that it is used in moderation for medical reasons by some, which obviously implies it is definitely something that can be handled. It's already established that Walt is a genius. He knew it wasn't going to kill the kid, probably knew what a lethal amount would be.

Alright so it hasn't been confirmed how he did it yet or if it was him directly or simply just a plan he set into motion using other people to do his work, but...

Which one of you guys did this? :lol

yeah, it's always gray to poison an innocent child with a deadly poison so that you could get your ass out of something you put yourself in

I seriously could not have asked for a more entertaining series of defenses. You guys have delivered, genuinely. I'm glad you think these things because there's no way this would have been as fun without this stuff.

I can go to bed happy.

Quit defending Walt you future serial killer!!!!!

They did the same goddamn thing last season. "Yeah, we have no idea what we're gonna be doing next season but wasn't the last five minutes awesome?!" And since they wrote themselves into this corner, they have nowhere else to go but Walt v. Jesse and how ever they'll end up approaching it, it won't top what was done in the same vein 3 years ago.

The fact that it wasn't ricin voids all ban bets and predictions, IMO.

I was debating on the grounds that Walt would kill a child, not make him get a tummy ache.

And who knows, maybe Gilligan will have a flashback next season where we see the kid brush up against the plant!
Horseshit. No one proposed Walt used Ricin. Everyone was suggesting he used the flowers, accept your ban like a man, or fly to my domicile and tell me how my ass taste. The choice is yours.
