I just can't get over how dumb that 2-face/tie adjustment thing was. If he just got blown the fuck up I probably wouldn't mind it much.

Then you wouldn't have thought he survived for that few seconds before the camera pans. That fakeout was what made the scene.

Oh I thought that was the sickest thing ever. That shot? The reveal? Beautiful.

Especially thematically. You're first thought is "WHAT THE FUCK he is a FUCKING ROBOT" and then pan around.

All too human.
You know what would really have been human? If the bomb went off and he didn't fucking stand up like he was in a dumb action movie.

Guys he bombed an old folks home, saying "he wasn't the one that detonated it" or "he had no choice" is idiotic. HE BOMBED A NURSING HOME! There isn't a morally grey thing about that. No less morally grey than a convict using a woman as an human shield in a gun fight with the popo "its either me or her."

Parts of this finale were also comedy GOLD.

NURSE: ''DEE-AH ain't a word, honey''

It was especially amusing to me because the nurse is Peggy's mom from Mad Men

Understandable. But you see, if they just blew him up and showed his body on the floor, or not at all, then that would've been disappointing to be honest. After all the shit he did this season, it all needed to come back and get him in a big way. This was the perfect way to do it.

Also Bonus: There is absolutely no way to tell how an individual will react to the poison, some people have allergic reactions that make it even worse, some people will feel relatively few effects. So not only was Walt making a huge gamble with an extremely dangerous poison (which the show suggests almost DID kill Brock - thus the relief on Walt's face at the end), but he did it only to save his own ass. Instead of taking responsibility for his actions, he poisoned an innocent child.

Man he did so many reprehensible things this episode it was delectable. It almost makes the absurd Gus shot worth it so we could once and for all put aside the debate about Walt's sympathetic nature. Now we know people who think he is sympathetic are insane and can laugh about it amongst ourselves with little to no possible recourse.
Nah, Walt is still good peoples

are you fucking serious? i can't figure out why this show creates this "realism" culture. it must be the cinematography or some shit..

what did you feel during that reveal? hint: if it was disbelief, it was probably because that's what you were supposed to feel. it's fucking Gus.

The bomb was under tio, he took all of the blast, highlighted by his body parts all over the room.

I felt "this is stupid and belongs in a different television show."

That was incredible and almost portrays Gus in a dream-like state where he is in denial. He can't accept that he is finished until his brain just gives up and he drops dead.

He sent his next door neighbor to die in his stead.

You're shitting all of us at this point, right?

no you see Walt knew that Gus was too professional to kill any innocent person

except for the fact he threatened to kill Walt's entire innocent family at one point including his infant child

don't you love it? It's so amazing what this episode did

I just love how Walt lucked out into getting Tio to do it. Even with the car bomb, there'd be questions, but Tio, he has a 100% no part in it from an outsider's perspective. He must've been mentally skipping like a school girl when he thought up the plan.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but did anyone else notice that the papers Saul's secretary shredded were of a school schedule with certain times underlined?

Looking at the frame right now and yes, it's a bunch of class schedules.

*struts again*

that Walt is still "good people" is perhaps the crux of the final season. given corporate (i.e. placing money first) America's track record of "caring about people".. I'll say it's still up in the air.

how did Tio make the bomb? They already know he has no family

question now arises: Who made the bomb?

And not just any neighbor, but a neighbor that A) he knew well enough to give a key to and B) who was an elderly lady who needed a cane to walk. Come on. That shit is fucked up, yo.

Walter White is a dick. Absolute dick. How can any have empathy for him anymore? He's turned into the antithesis of what he was the first two seasons. As soon as they told him his cancer was in remission, he went full retard.

It fits in pretty well with the plane crash, the cousins, and, as mentioned, the exploding turtle. I get why people want realism from television, but there's more than one way to tell a story and I love Breaking Bad's more theatrical moments.

I can hardly watch. I loved Gus too much. He had it coming, but at the same time, he just...didn't.

Fuck this show.

Somebody Tio hated about half as much as he hated Gus? Who would suspect that.

Yeah, I'm on your side re: Walt being an asshole, but Walt was definitely assuming that his neighbor would be unharmed. Same with Brock. The fact that he put them in harm's way is fucked up, but let's at least be honest.

Those were to hurt Walt. It's not about who is innocent, it's about who has meaning and who doesn't.

Killing and disposing of any random person who comes in, be them friend or home repair guy or even DEA agents/ police force, would only cause more trouble for Gus's men. That's why they DIDN'T kill the old lady who was just checking in on the house.

He fucking justified his actions by HOPING it would not harm them, to make himself feel better. But the reality is he rolled the dice. There is literally no way he could have determined that. And with Lily of the Valley, it's even more of a gamble. In a child, the poison would be extremely more effective. Somewhere in his mind he arbitrarily decided the risk to their lives was worth it, because it saved his own ass.

That is the very definition of a psychopath.
