But even if the cancer is back, why would he back out? I'm getting confused here. Is Walt backing out due to simple cowardice or boredom?

Not that far out though. I find it hard to believe Walt didn't empty his whole house of evidence.

Also, I dont understand, that was Walt's book given by Gale, but how did Hank have it before? Wasnt that evidence? How did Walt get it?

I'm guessing Gale wrote it out as a "proof".

I do it all the time when I sign stuff on cards/gifts.

Especially when I write it out to my meth teachers.

I think it's hard to deny that Walt's feelings toward Jesse are AT THE LEAST very complicated. He didn't have to go there, he didn't have to pay up. Dude was reminiscing at how much he has been through now that he is out.

And then they drop the bomb us.

And now we wait a year.

CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES, THIS IS MY LAST RESORT.

I don't get why you guys think Walt was going to do something to Jesse. They have a special connection with each other, (or at least Walt does, Jesse was scared shitless obviously). I could tell the moment he showed up Walt was nostalgic and just missed him. I don't think Walt will ever do anything bad to Jesse like that I think by season 2/3 he already started to care more for him than his own son.

I'm upset that THAT'S the way Hank finds out. It feels kind of lame but eh. At least he knows now and we just have to wait forever to see the next episodes.

Also I feel like Walt is 100% serious about being out there. You could just tell. They found out the cancer is back and he just has no reason to keep doing it anymore. He became bored. Now the next season will be him on the run.

Hank is such a good person, too bad he'd never just shut up and take the money.

Been saying it all this time, Hank is justice, he is the hero of the show, the banhammer that needs to come down on Hank and Jesse.

he "won". That and maybe he wants his family back. That and maybe his cancer returned and now that he has money he wants to chill with his family before he dies.

Or he is lying and wasn't out. Or many things!

1) They make you think that Walt came to kill Jesse at his place as the final cleanup and his journey toward the dark side would be complete.

2) They make you think there's a body or a head in the bag that Walt left Jesse.

3) They make you think something's gonna happen to the poor baby with Walt Jr. pushing her by the pool, and they made such a thing out of "Put some suntan lotion on her!" but again it was nothing.

This show was messing with us so bad tonight. I thought the season so far was mostly boring but this was a really good episode and now I can't wait for next year.

And don't pretend a bunch of you didn't also think most of the season was a snooze.

Hank was reading Gales cooking notebook, inside it was the walt whitman quote, marked w.w., that spawned that flashback scene they showed. Hank didn't know this book with Gales note existed, and is in Walts house.

They can match handwriting.

Nothing stops the train. Tremendous season.

Goddamn, what an episode. Some awesome transitions, nice callbacks to earlier episodes, Jesse being afraid Walt was going to kill him, and then the cliffhanger! That was up there with "WE HAVE TO GO BACK!" as far as cliffhangers go. Fuck you AMC for splitting this season in half, I don't want to wait a year for the next episode!

I sure didn't.

He isn't lying. That was Walt's redemption. Skylar is the one that got him out of it. He saw the pile of money and truly came to realize that he won, that he in an infinite game that he had no place or reason to be in.

There's still 8 episodes for 2013, right? Or is it just one big finale?
