The way I see it, is I always support the best outcome for any particular country, but if that country votes a particular way, then they should be prepared to accept the consequences. I can't feel anything but pity for those who voted to leave.

I love my parents. But it's exactly people like them who have caused this... and they have put the young people who are still working or looking for jobs out of Europe even though they wanted to stay in.

Because of what?

I can only speak for my parents. They complain about eastern Europeans 'taking all the jobs'. Which... they are both retired.

And no. No they aren't.

There's some irony that the Backlash against globalization is being led by the people / parties that pushed it hardest.  They've successfully painted the down sides as brown people taking yer jerbs!

South Park was right again.

Meanwhile the 1% laughs from their pools of money, which they'll keep no matter the vote.

How many people here are staying up all night, and have to work in the morning?

I can't bring myself to go to bed, but I know I'll suffer for it "tomorrow".

The british are either liars (of who they vote for) or bad pollers/statisticians. That much was evident from their last election.

It's difficult to work out which voters are actually going to show up for a referendum vote, there isn't really any precedent for something like this.

I have to say the remain campaign was very limp. The whole thing leave and remain going back months ago is portrayed as some joke.

Media have almost said no way the leave will win. I think the apathetic silent remain majority will be in shock this morning that their vote actually mattered but they couldn't be arsed. So much in the media and the jokes make it feel like you don't even have to bother.

considering how 'stay' scotland is, this kind of works out for pushing for a scottish referendum again so you might be right
I wish it didn't have to happen this way (and it may still not...we are still at the whim of the Dark Arts of Westminster) but the UK as a whole isn't going to be worse off because of this for not much else in return.

The problem with that is they are fucking over more than just them. Flanders is expected to be hit really hard from this and we had zero input.

Nope. Not after this. Plus the damage already done to the economy and currency. Can you imagine if they don't respect the results now? You would literally see rioting.

Why aren't they calling it yet? It is over.

The only people who have the passion to riot are young people and they all voted remain. There wouldn't be rioting. He should ignore the referendum because allowing uneducated old people to fuck everything up for everyone is bullshit.

As a Canadian observer, I'm really sadened by this result. This must be costing thousands of people their livelihoods. I know there's a lot more to it than that, but it is certainly a direct impact from this result.

If he did this there would be such huge consequences and the conservatives would likely never win an election for 50 years

If they dismantle the NHS it won't matter, they and their friends will be the owners of the new private healthcare in the UK.

They are trying anyway.

Nothing! I said nothing!
Cameron will resign today and call an election. We will also have another Scottish independence referendum to look forward to which is great cause the last one was so much fun.

So those that want leave on GAF did you resign yourself to Scotland going independent or think we would stay? (especially if you were a better together supporter).

I was a bit sad, but I resigned myself to that after the Indyref to be honest. I supported Scotland staying in the UK, but I think even with the No result it was clear that a clock had been set ticking.
