I was actually in Westfield today. Finalised Christmas shopping, mother spoiled me rotten and saw some pretty displays.

The Christmas market thing near the outside hut things were pretty cool too.

What time? Would be hilarious if I randomly walked past you without realising.

Even though I don't really know many of you, I really look forward to the next meet, because a meet sounds like something that I'll enjoy greatly. Especially after all the shit that I've gone through over the last two years.

I don't care if the alcohol in me is making me want to say this, it's always been on my mind. The desire to meet new people who are accepting and won't exclude me for shitty reasons.

As long as you're not incredibly young it's all good. 16 right? That's all good with me.

I suppose this is a tease of what I'm like when drunk. Which is easy to do since I'm such a lightweight. But anything I say when drunk is my.actual thoughts, it's just that I don't really think of consequences when drunk so to me, anything goes.

Nah, 17, almost 18.

Origin is such a cunting piece of bullshit software that sucks total shit

I have been trying to download Dead Space 3 since I've moved back and it's logged me out every time, wtf EA, if it was steam I would've downloaded 50 games in that time

I am one hungover Son of D. Not the worst hangover I've had, and I do remember the night before. That post of mine was a tad embarassing in hindsight. Ah well, such is life.

I don't know any of you but I hope I can come to the next Manchester meet. I'm with you, holmes.

No need to be embarrassed!

Mrs and mrs sploatee watched Anchorman yesterday for the first time. The scene with the
dog talking down the bear
is the most perfect thing I have ever seen.

We watched Pacific Rim too (partly because it came 'free' with the PS4) - she loved it, but I thought it was too long, despite having fancy visuals.

I am going for a jog while Mrs finishes off the X-mas shopping. I don't want to, but I know I should. Will make me feel better about the 2 bowls of choc cornflakes I had for breakfast. Curse you, sugar. Curse you!

N'aw, I was the sane.

BGAF really are an accepting lot.

Is anybody else really impressed by the Dualshock 4? I thought that the analogue sticks would suck at first but they're just right and the triggers are much better.

The only thing I don't like about it is the texture of the sticks. It feels very spongey and easy to damage. Also one of my controllers has developed a quirk where periodically it will do whatever the game would do if you pulled down on the stick sharply.

So in an FPS, you're lining up a shot when you find yourself examining the floor instead.

Luckily I have a spare; I'd rather see if the issue can be fixed than get a replacement.

Yes. I find it very comfortable to hold and the sticks are amazing! One of my controllers has developed a weird creak on the left handle, where the two bits if plastic meet. I'm hoping it doesn't fall apart.

Could it be a calibration issue? I will admit that I had that issue in an old Xbox 360 controller and I ended up replacing it.

I don't 'hold' my controller due to my disability, I rest it on the floor but I understand what you mean. Are the screws tight enough?

When is the Newcastle(?) meet? I think I should have enough money to come along :)
Saturday 29th March. It'll be good to see you there man.

I'm eager to try the Dualshock 4 when I visit my friend for New Years. I really hope it's better than the DS3, especially those darn triggers.

As for the Newcastle meet, it's quite a distance to travel, but I'll do my best to come along. Can't guarantee anything yet though.

Trust me, the triggers are an obvious improvement.

Nah, 17, almost 18.

You were born when Mario 64 came out. Oh my god, I feel fucking old.

I remember when the demo station was set up in Toys R Us in 1996, and my mind was blown. I was 7, and I had grown up on the Super Nintendo, BBC Micro and Game Boy. I saw Goldeneye at the cinema in 1995. And in 1997 I was having regular deathmatches on Goldeneye 007 with my mates.

Videogames really put things into perspective. fuck.

Your first mistake was Origin. Just Origin in general. I've never been able to get my Origin-only games from the EA Humble Bundle.

Dead Space 3 was pretty much a disaster as well. The first two are legit awesome, some of my favourite games ever (and I don't even like horror that much). Third one is all shooting, with stupid human enemies which you're given ridiculous amounts of ammo to kill. Also, microtransactions. Blech.

Damn incredible. It's amazing how time flies and how different in age we actually are. :p

I recieved a N64 for a Birthday gift at 1 alongside SM64. Couldn't use it till I was a little older, of course.

As long as you're actually a pig wearing stripey spandex, then you shall be forgiven.

You may be disappointed. :(

Come to a meet and have a drink with everyone. ;D

I'm not good with socialising in large groups.

Me too. I even remember hanging around the arcades in Blackpool (there was nothing else to do) with friends and playing Crusin USA and Killer Instinct because they were just like what the Ultra 64 would be.

I was the same but now I am meeting gaffers in other countries :D. I've been to Copenhagen to meet WoodenLung and I'm going to Amsterdam to meet Linius and Baconsaurus! it's so much fun meeting loads of different people who enjoy football and games!

Neither am I, but meets are still always a laugh.

But it's different when I'm so young compared to you guys! I could be your kid in certain instances. :p

Welcome! :D

Also that's awesome, where are you from? :)
