Damn it, now I need to start calling myself a Moose Limbs now. That had to be a joke, and either way I love it.
It was amazing and so nightmarish. Further thoughts in the thread for it. Also cool to ask Charlie Brooker a question in the flesh. In a cinemaHe's a super cool dude.
My speech anxiety has gone way down after having asked questions to several directors/actors/game developers by now in front of hundreds of people on a mic.
I think they've shown the potential that's there for Black Mirror by making an episode that long that actually had an overarching plot and characters that feel like they've been slightly fleshed out along the way rather than just thrown into situations that bore in the point of the episode. Jon Hamm was absolutely great in it.
And we've got 2014 Wipe from Brooker soon, so there's more of his wonderfully sardonic tone to look forward to.
Brooker is pretty active on Twitter when he announces stuff, so I keep myself following that just in case.

i kid, i kid. i love you all and realise some get the brunt if the 'banter', some appear fragile, some appear tough but actually are, some appear to be knobs but are lovely and some never stop with the unending cascade of fucking haley williams .gifs. BUT we are all amazing and wonderful and everybody deserves to be happy and fulfilled. we are britgaf, hear us complain about the weather.

I feel a bit weird saying this since I don't know either of you well but I can't see folks struggling and not say a thing. Sincerely I really hope both of you make it through ok. It's pointless to say 'I hope you feel better' cause I know from personal experience it can be a frustratingly up and down ride but since everyone in BritGAF has made me feel welcome you've got some positive vibes coming from my ways too!

I welcome his venting. I was just saying that, from past experience, the majority of BritGAF will respond negatively. I'm not in a venty mood today, I'm in a great mood for once.

Yeah. Maybe I'm a bit stinky these days. Certainly felt that way. I'll step away for a while I think. This thread has far too much of me in it anyway, it probably kills conversation. Think a long break from GAF is in order.
Don't be daft, Beth, you're the one person keeping the conversation flowing. Admittedly it's non-stop Dark Souls with you, but I prefer that to senseless arguing between one another.
People won't respond negatively to him, but I'm glad you're in a good mood.

False dichotomy and just a tad misrepresentative to be fair.
Having a vent is incredibly self serving though, especially if it's every single day, at every available opportunity. I'm not suggesting that's necessarily symptomatic of anyone in here, but if you worked with someone who had a good ol' whinge at you every day, I'm betting you wouldn't want to rush over and sit with them at lunch would you?

Feel free to vent. It is better to do this than to hold it in. This is another reason why I have a heavy punch bag in the spare room.
If people don't want their sunshine-and-happiness day 'ruined' by an internet post then the onus is on them to let it go over the top of their head.
Taking a break from any form of internet usage is a good idea if you feel low. I have got into some very vicious circles of being low and not feeling like doing anything and then rotting away on the computer. And then feeling even worse.
I know when I feel like **** because the house starts to get cleaned more.

I think that and then the barney the other day are pretty clear evidence that my GAF addiction is not really helpful. I've requested a ban for a little while to get away from here for a bit and maybe even go outside and get fresh air once in a while. (Just waiting for it to come through...)

I love Gogglebox! It's not surprising that guy is a UKIPPER (winning side!), the wifey was always swooning over ol Nige a couple of series back. It does feel a bit like censorship of ideas which I'm not comfortable with. Just because he's saying something you don't agree with it doesn't mean that he should be taken off air. On a side not, I hate the boy in that family he's a hyperbolic little shit. But the daughter is A++++ attractive.
I like Gogglebox, but it often feels like they're trying too hard to be funny and they just come across as mean or stupid. Like, there's that girl with the nice northern parents who is just the dumbest person I have ever seen on TV. And she gets so upset at everything, mostly because she doesn't understand it, I think. The world must be a frightening and hostile place for her LOL!
I like the gay couple, they're very funny. I miss George but he was awesome on Big Bro and is obviously destined for bigger things. I love the drunk couple too, the lady looks like she would be a right laugh! She's got that saucy grandma thing going on.

Suppose not, no. My persistent venting days look to be over, anyhoo, but I encourage anyone who wants to vent to do so. Bottling it up only makes it worse.

To be fair to C4, they pulled him because of standing as a political candidate - regardless of party. Which makes sense.
I'll miss them cos of the son who was so much fun to parody with his OH MY GOD voice breaking anytime his parents said something to embarrass him. Never not funny.

The idea of discussing attractive ladies is not something I care about all that much, really. But having the freedom to do so is good. Just like having the freedom to talk about how sad you are is ok too. IMO, nobody is prohibited from posting anything beyond GAF TOS stuff, they just have to be prepared to have it questioned/ignored/gently mocked.

But at the same time, I feel noone is really entitled to be entertained by people who post here, but we are a funny bunch so it happens anyway.

Also, did anyone see the Apprentice last night? It was brutal. Interview episodes are always the best. But tbh I don't really want either of the candidates to win, but I'd choose Bianca over Mark and his ego.

Another poster in this thread is often bringing that event up. It is tiresome.
Someone's feelings and them wanting to possibly talk about it is more important than seeing/talking about some porn star's fanny hair.
Late, late edit: The bolded part of the post didn't show for me on my Vita. Weird. Yes I could let it go over my head but having bloody photos posted makes it hard to ignore. Plus the palpable stink of men's hormones emanating from the posts is enough to knock you backwards.

I find those episodes incredibly boring coupled with the rod-up-the-ass interviewers. I know it is somewhat amusing watching the truth-massaging-know-it-all-but-not-know-much candidates squirm but I just don't like the interview episodes.

It's not about gender, it's about opinion and presentation. When one of your first posts ITT is a snarky attack on the thread shutting down harmless silliness it's not a good first impression. And when subsequent posts are often about important DARK FEELINGS it is hard to engage on any meaningful level other than taking the piss. There's a community thread full of depressed people, I'm fairly sure they won't take the piss as much.
On a forum thread largely revolving around banter and abuse, porn star fanny hair is INFINITELY more interesting to some people than hurt feelings. And of course, you will note that there was no mention pubes of any kind.
