Lol, I think its hilarious how northerners argue over which part of a desolate wasteland is the best part of a desolate wasteland.
This is one of the best GAF posts I've ever read.

I had 2 spaghetti jars full of them, over 300. They need to bring 'em back.next up: pogs.
It was amazing and so nightmarish. Further thoughts in the thread for it. Also cool to ask Charlie Brooker a question in the flesh. In a cinema He's a super cool dude.
My speech anxiety has gone way down after having asked questions to several directors/actors/game developers by now in front of hundreds of people on a mic.
It was great. I hope there's more soon.
Might be the avatar.
But for what it's worth, I get those kinds of thoughts a lot too. Especially recently because of some things I'm not overly comfortable discussing so publicly, but I'm in the mindset of hopefulness and I'm hoping that's enough to drive me through it, because happiness and stability might be at the end of the tunnel. I'm fairly sure the scars on my arm from where I burned it are never going to fade, so now I have to live with that. I guess I'm going to use it as a reminder that I'm not in as bad a state as I was when I did that. I'm hoping that it'll help me
basically i'm breaking my arsehole character to tell you i hope we both feel better about life soon enough because it would be nice huh
you're championing for their return? ughhh.I had 2 spaghetti jars full of them, over 300. They need to bring 'em back.
Thanks.
Yeah. We can do it, hopefully. Great big positive thoughts going your way.
Aww yeahI think they've shown the potential that's there for Black Mirror by making an episode that long that actually had an overarching plot and characters that feel like they've been slightly fleshed out along the way rather than just thrown into situations that bore in the point of the episode. Jon Hamm was absolutely great in it.
And we've got 2014 Wipe from Brooker soon, so there's more of his wonderfully sardonic tone to look forward to.
Brooker is pretty active on Twitter when he announces stuff, so I keep myself following that just in case.
I need to vent a bit but trying to make a coherent rant isn't exactly easy.
That plus it'll probably get ignored anyway.
Go for it, just be prepared to have a load of shit thrown your way for having actual human emotions.I need to vent a bit but trying to make a coherent rant isn't exactly easy.

I feel a bit weird saying this since I don't know either of you well but I can't see folks struggling and not say a thing. Sincerely I really hope both of you make it through ok. It's pointless to say 'I hope you feel better' cause I know from personal experience it can be a frustratingly up and down ride but since everyone in BritGAF has made me feel welcome you've got some positive vibes coming from my ways too!

I sometimes want to write a whiny post about all these whiny posts, it's like a vicious cycle.
I remember when this thread was fun and just a bit of banter.
Good times.
I know you're admittedly insensitive, but this was pretty insensitive.
Oh and nothing's stopping you from banter. And you're whining too. And there's a difference between whining and genuinely feeling low.
Tbh, I'd rather have real conversations than just pictures of girls that people fancy. Just saying.
I welcome his venting. I was just saying that, from past experience, the majority of BritGAF will respond negatively. I'm not in a venty mood today, I'm in a great mood for once.I know you're admittedly insensitive, but this was pretty insensitive.
It's entirely not personal, but this thread should have a 'one depressed person at a time' rule. If someone else has posted headsick in the last 24 hours then you have to hold it in.
And what is a real conversation anyway?
Don't be daft, Beth, you're the one person keeping the conversation flowing. Admittedly it's non-stop Dark Souls with you, but I prefer that to senseless arguing between one another.I don't know. Conversation that I deem real, obvs.
Yeah. Maybe I'm a bit stinky these days. Certainly felt that way. I'll step away for a while I think. This thread has far too much of me in it anyway, it probably kills conversation. Think a long break from GAF is in order.
I welcome his venting. I was just saying that, from past experience, the majority of BritGAF will respond negatively. I'm not in a venty mood today, I'm in a great mood for once.
That's the joke mane, it was an attempt at lighthearted banter! Apologies if it came across as a personal attack to anyone in particular.I know you're admittedly insensitive, but this was pretty insensitive.

False dichotomy and just a tad misrepresentative to be fair.Tbh, I'd rather have real conversations than just pictures of girls that people fancy. Just saying.

Having a vent is incredibly self serving though, especially if it's every single day, at every available opportunity. I'm not suggesting that's necessarily symptomatic of anyone in here, but if you worked with someone who had a good ol' whinge at you every day, I'm betting you wouldn't want to rush over and sit with them at lunch would you?I welcome his venting. RIGHT THEN LET'S DO CONVERSATIONY FINE I'LL KICK US OFF
Good afternoon it's Jon in the Afternoons alright we want to hear from you on this one just text in now or call us on 07700 900565 on our HOT TOPICS, Steve what have you got for us?
Well yes we're talking about GOGGLEBOX, one family's been binned off as the dad's standing for UKIP. Should anyone stand for UKIP, or stand for Gogglebox? We want to hear what you think!
And we're nearly at the end of your working week - got the big Christmas party tomorrow? Big plans, any embarrassing stories?
Plus with the days ticking down it's the big dilemma... is this happening to you - choosing presents - both you and your partner, days to go... still have no ideas! In a panic? What do you recommend?
Haha thanks Steve well yes would be good to hear your ideas on that. Coming up at 2 we've got the news and we'll go through some of your texts, First - Erasure.
Cheers, mane, feels good to be in a good mood.People won't respond negatively to him, but I'm glad you're in a good mood.
Suppose not, no. My persistent venting days look to be over, anyhoo, but I encourage anyone who wants to vent to do so. Bottling it up only makes it worse.Having a vent is incredibly self serving though, especially if it's every single day, at every available opportunity. I love Gogglebox! It's not surprising that guy is a UKIPPER (winning side!), the wifey was always swooning over ol Nige a couple of series back. It does feel a bit like censorship of ideas which I'm not comfortable with. Just because he's saying something you don't agree with it doesn't mean that he should be taken off air. On a side not, I hate the boy in that family he's a hyperbolic little shit. But the daughter is A++++ attractive.
Feel free to vent. It is better to do this than to hold it in. This is another reason why I have a heavy punch bag in the spare room.
If people don't want their sunshine-and-happiness day 'ruined' by an internet post then the onus is on them to let it go over the top of their head.

To be fair to C4, they pulled him because of standing as a political candidate - regardless of party. Which makes sense.
I'll miss them cos of the son who was so much fun to parody with his OH MY GOD voice breaking anytime his parents said something to embarrass him. Never not funny.
This isn't the damn radio, son.
This is BritGAF.
I could say the same thing about discussing porn stars too y'know. Glass houses, stones yadda yadda
The idea of discussing attractive ladies is not something I care about all that much, really. But having the freedom to do so is good. Just like having the freedom to talk about how sad you are is ok too. IMO, nobody is prohibited from posting anything beyond GAF TOS stuff, they just have to be prepared to have it questioned/ignored/gently mocked.
First time I haven't watched the Apprentice this year. Although it's mostly fake and it's been known near the inception of the series, I just didn't feel any motivation to watch it. I predict it's still funny as usual. It was one of the only reality TV shows I watched.
The female members that 'voiced' their dislike really will never live that down will they.
Another poster in this thread is often bringing that event up. It is tiresome.
Someone's feelings and them wanting to possibly talk about it is more important than seeing/talking about some porn star's fanny hair.
I find those episodes incredibly boring coupled with the rod-up-the-ass interviewers. I know it is somewhat amusing watching the truth-massaging-know-it-all-but-not-know-much candidates squirm but I just don't like the interview episodes.
It's not about gender, it's about opinion and presentation. When one of your first posts ITT is a snarky attack on the thread shutting down harmless silliness it's not a good first impression. And when subsequent posts are often about important DARK FEELINGS it is hard to engage on any meaningful level other than taking the piss. There's a community thread full of depressed people, I'm fairly sure they won't take the piss as much.
On a forum thread largely revolving around banter and abuse, porn star fanny hair is INFINITELY more interesting to some people than hurt feelings. And of course, you will note that there was no mention pubes of any kind.
LOL!
Oh I meant first time I haven't watched Apprentice in years i.e missing a series instead of an episode.
On a forum thread largely revolving around banter and abuse,
It's all good buddy, my apologies for being my usual dismissive, nonchalant self too! I don't mean anything by it, my head is generally just full of rainbows, unicorn farts and boobies.Yeah, it was unfair. I'm sorry chuck. Just going through a rough time - am being quite snappy with Emma too.
I think that and then the barney the other day are pretty clear evidence that my GAF addiction is not really helpful. I've requested a ban for a little while to get away from here for a bit and maybe even go outside and get fresh air once in a while. (Just waiting for it to come through...)
Sorry again though dude, it was a wrong thing to say.
Certain members are just gross and have their minds constantly in the gutter. How did we end up discussing tits and fanny hair?
When one of your first posts ITT is a snarky attack on the thread shutting down harmless silliness it's not a good first impression.
Is that really how you see this thread? A laddish head butting social quagmire?
How did we end up discussing tits and fanny hair?
If you're bored, like enough to have pretty much given up on life, and also have Steam setup for streaming then feel free to add me on steam where you can watch me be atrociously bad at Dark Souls/Street Fighter.
I read this in the most radio-ass radio voice imaginable. Job well done, dude.RIGHT THEN LET'S DO CONVERSATIONY FINE I'LL KICK US OFF
