True, but that won't ever happen lol.Yeah be nice if every once in a while they sent these boxes of merchandise and invites to a few random players as well (me for example).
I don't know I have ran through a lot of Gamepass games and can usually tell within 10 minutes or so if a game is for me or not10 minutes LOL
sounds very unbiased....
I would never give my opinion on a game after 10 minutes, no matter what. I always play at least an hour before making that assertionI don't know I have ran through a lot of Gamepass games and can usually tell within 10 minutes or so if a game is for me or not
Not sure how biases come into play
Difference of tastes I suppose as I would never invest an hour into a game that doesn't hook me early, I have way too many other games I would rather playI would never give my opinion on a game after 10 minutes, no matter what. I always play at least an hour before making that assertion
It's stupid to complain about a developer who specializes in one type of game (and has been massively successful doing so), to make that type of game.GAAS in general. You knew what I meant.
Ok......name the last GAAS games that were successful? Helldivers 2 (but that has fallen off)........how many have failed? Dozens! It's stupid to complain about a developer who specializes in one type of game (and has been massively successful doing so), to make that type of game.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw the first trailer. How to connect with those masked and androgynous humanoids? He just said it lacked a soul and 10 minutes in found himself wanting to play something else
Didn't really go into specifics
Marvel Rivals & POE2 just from the last 4-5 months spring to mind. Both massive hits.Ok......name the last GAAS games that were successful? Helldivers 2 (but that has fallen off)........how many have failed? Dozens!

It really depends on the game. If you play Fallout 2 for 10 minutes, you will never want to play any Fallout game again. But with an online FPS, 10 minutes might be enough to tell if it's any good.Difference of tastes I suppose as I would never invest an hour into a game that doesn't hook me early, I have way too many other games I would rather play
Again that depends on the game. But with an online FPS, 10 minutes might be enough to tell if it's any good.
What if it's a success?Sony and Bungie have both been pretty shit this gen. So expectations for this are low. If this fails, pretty much expect Hulst man to get the much needed and deserved boot to the ass….
Yeah to be fair that's why I jacked it in as well.Im honestly offended by how my 10 year tenure in destiny ended with them shitting harder than fuck on crucible. I absolutely loved the chaotic fun one of a kind feel that was crucible pvp, thousands and thousands of matched, trials runs, iron banner... Just was all phenomenal until the last few years when they nerfed my Not Forgotten it all took a turn and I can't believe the neglect, Its like it was so much neglect to pvp it should be a lawsuit, just awful.
Quitting D2 was finally one of the best gaming moves I had made in years.
Agreed most shooters you can get a feel if you are likely to enjoy it or not in a couple of matchesAgain that depends on the game.
Tarkov or the Hunt for example require some understanding of whats going on. They dont grab you right away but COD or Battlefield and the like, you'll know if youll like them or not straight away.
i played fragpunk for 10 minutes and hated it, played an hour and i love it. So you're not correct at all, there are system you have to understand. It really depends on the game. If you play Fallout 2 for 10 minutes, you will never want to play any Fallout game again. But with an online FPS, 10 minutes might be enough to tell if it's any good.
Yea absolutely, when the guns all started to feel the same it was the beginning of the end. The thing that drove me nuts was crucible was meant to be chaotic and unbalanced, like when they got obsessed with balance it was done. The whole point was to get space magics and just have fun, I think the casuals just couldn't stand to die in crucible like they just absolutely couldn't stand it and bungie catered to that and in tryin to balance every whipstitch it lost the magic.Yeah to be fair that's why I jacked it in as well.
Back when pinnacles where a thing was a particular high point. Must have lost them a fuck ton of players going in the direction they did (PVE).
Marvel Rivals man, I'm not even a fan of that style of pvp but I absolutely loved and it was my favorite recent platinum. One of the best of its kind to release imo. I never could get into overwatch but rivals is just awesome.Marvel Rivals & POE2 just from the last 4-5 months spring to mind. Both massive hits.
Officially confirmed.
19 of them are from meCorrect. The Materials clearly say that as well though. Could be a Vidoc, trailer, alpha registration or content blow out, we just don't know as of yet.
You wish. 20 million+ views on the trailer say otherwise.
As long as Jason Jones is there I believe....

Nothing to do with Switch 2 mate, no matter how much of a hard on for it you have.
Only 3 maps? They must be pretty big with different starting locations?
Officially confirmed.
i think its not:F2P, that would be the smart thing to do.
i think its not:
but 50/50 on being a smart move tho.
If we take the 1%–5% of F2P players who actually spend money as a baseline, then I think 3 to 5 million copies sold at $40 roughly equates to 100 million players in a F2P game. And the business model on both are way different. To me, the interesting aspect is going to be the business model and game design around it, in a post-Helldivers 2 world (which was praised for it), and after the Bungie debacle. Marathon is going to show whether Bungie still has its head up its own ass, or if its ego is damaged enough to have learned that their so-called GaaS "expertise" has been a joke.I agree. Major pros and cons to going F2P.
Bungie has so much prestige and hype surrounding it that I think they could probably charge 40 dollars out of the gate maybe even more. Of course you're not going to sell as many copies, but it goes a long way versus trying to get MTX from even millions of players.
I think the question really becomes whether they think this can be a top 5 played shooter like Fortnite, CS, Valorant, PUBG, or even Apex Legends.
If they really had ultimate confidence in it, they probably wouldn't put it on Steam in the first place.
There are very few Helldivers out there on steam. If you're putting your game on Steam, it really needs to be F2P, but even games like The Finals and the First Descendant have struggled as F2P games. I wonder if Bungie has any strategy to be more successful out of Asia, which seems to be a really weak point for Destiny. Marathon is going to have to make strides in China and South America. Hopefully Sony money will allow them to do a better job with localization efforts.
There must be big hype around this game for the algorithm to recommend it to me
