SPARKS!

The dents and scratches make it look somewhat ugly. I wish they'd release pics with no damage on the cars.

Nice, but the car models look pretty poor. About what I expect from a quick port + Criterions ability.

As others said, it'll be great to see a "ground up" project from these guys.

Yeah, I can't say I'm enjoying the aesthetics of the scratches so much.
But those environments look absolutely awesome.

The release date for this game is gonna be like an early Christmas for me. :D

In fact, it currently has the same release date as Battlefield MC for the 360 and I hope they both hold those dates because it would be one of the biggest gaming related days of the year for me.

I played Burnout Revenge for the PS2 and loved every second of it. I also played bought Battlefield MC for my PS2 last fall and loved everything about it's online play. The game was freaking brilliant for a console online shooter and I was stunned at the muted attention it seemed to get. The game ran flawlessly on the PS2 and the online play was buttery smooth. I couldn't get enough of it and I still want to play it today. That game with all the 360 goodies attached to it is just gonna be that much better.

That all-over damage better be related to driving through explosions or something, I don't want to bash a car on the side and end up scratched all over.

Looks alright, nothing spectacular. Sparks getting worse!?

No idea why you put that in spoilers, but yeah I agree with you :lol Probably has to be seen moving to appreciate it.

Gotta love that huge Logitech ad in the 3rd screen. Ads are suppose to be bring prices down, right? lol

Agreed. I have faith in Criterion though (I hope they are personally working on this version). They haven't failed me yet and it seems to me that every game design choice they make it generally perfect. Call me a Criterion fanboy if you want. :lol

Looks a bit ugly. I've also gone off the series a little since BO3 - I liked BO2 more, but BO3 was still fun...since then it has only become totally over-the-top. They should call the next game Burnout Pinball

I guess it's a little expected that a port of a game that was released a few months ago isn't gonna look mindblowing, right? Luckily the game looked so amazing on current gen hardware that a 360 version only needs a few lighting tweaks and higher res textures and it will look damn good in high def.

Huh, what are you insane? That looks fantastic and a bit better than what I expected. The level of detail is insane for a game that moves as fast as burnout does.

This shot in particular is spectacular:

What I love is that the graphics are "imperfect". They don't look plastic at all, there's imperfections that make it look realistic. Look at the crack on the road, the non uniform mud on the sign, the nicks and scratches on the cars, the reflections, it's all very nicely done and mimics the real world just enough to not distract from its arcade type gameplay.

This is the best looking racer I've ever seen and most importantly, it was not build from ground up on the 360. It's an enhanced port.

The pics of the screen at CES looked better than that. Nice to see the EA screenshot picker is back at work.

I think it looks fantastic. I don't know about everyone else, but I wasn't expecting it to be as mindblowing as something developed exclusively for the 360.

Burnout games with drivers? Ummm.....

Yeah, seriously. You want to come up with the dashboard cloning facility to explain how that would work? Maybe if they brought Cronenberg on as a consultant...

You mean Dolby Digital?

I thought you said the same about Kameo and PD0.

Great looking games,Kameo especially. But you can see its still a port from Xbox becuase of the geometry.

Kameo is stunning though

What's next-gen in PGR3 that isn't next-gen in Burnout Revenge ???

Seriously, they look soooooo much on the same level of visual quality.

Screens do nothing for me. Criterion has always had impressive visuals, but it is the gameplay I am most interested in. If it is a prettier version of the most recent Burnout, I will pass. On the other hand, I would REALLY love to see XBOX 360 screens of BLACK!!!! C'mon Criterion!!

PGR3? The way it moves, the environmnts, all the effects (reflections, lighting, smoke) everything is tightly balanced. Not one effect overwhelms the other

Apart from the trees the game is in a league of its own

Just take a look at the photo thread opIvy created. The game is beautiful

What are you guys talking about?! Those screens look fantastic - especially for a port.

Just compare these screens to what was on the Xbox/PS2.

Stop leaving out Condemned. Its lighting and environments floor any current gen game.

This looks pretty good IMO.

Focus of both games is rather different, in gameplay, visual and general thematic presentation. I'm sure the BO team's primary focus was on accurately porting the high performance 60FPS arcade action over before everything else. I certainly agree that a ground-up Burnout for the next gen consoles should be a vision, but even on this gen consoles a comparison of Burnout to the likes of Gran Turismo, Forza or PGR would have been a misinformed approach as to what to expect.

Better artistic direction then. I was speaking technically it looks the same level.

Maybe my memory is failing, but these shots don't seem to have a world of difference between them and the original Xbox version.
