I've taken the bus to Santa Monica plenty, and I've never had the privilege of seeing awesome shit like this. Stupid punk ought to be fucking ashamed of himself being so completely owned by a 67 year-old man like that.

if the old guy said "i need a black person to shine my shoes" then he's a racist but the conversation before that is hard to hear.

Haha, just noticed the cameraman(woman?) stole the old guys bag. Such a horrible collection of people all at once.

Also chinaman is one of those antiquated terms that old people may get a pass for using. However, if you're under 35 years old and feel it's a perfectly fine term to use, then don't act shocked if people think you're racist.
 
People focusing on the use of 'Chinaman' are missing the point. The word is offensive, but what really made him look racist was the fact that he asked a black dude to shine his shoes, and then insisted that he wasn't racist and would have a Chinese person do it too. If you can't see the racism in that, I can't help you.

Yeah, the young guy mumbling shit and the end was rather amusing. Dude, you just got slapped by a 67 year old guy wearing an "I am a motherfucker" t-shirt. I'd just sit there and wait for your ambilamps to turn up if I were you. Unless you fancy hitting his fists with your mouth some more that is.

Right but what did he say? I mean the black guy starts off saying something, right? We don't know what was said before the video began? From what I can tell it's impossible to tell who started shit in that clip.

This whole thing is strange though.

After the guy says "Why a brother gotta spit shine your shoes" the old guy says "You offered" and seemed genuinely surprised. It seems the black guy may have said something sarcastically about polishing shoes that the old guy took literally. Its hard to say if he did it intentionally or not. I'd really like to see the conversation leading up to this video.

the ealiest thing i can make out is the old guy saying "how much to do my *brand name here* based on soooooomething the black guy said before that.

i just doubt the old man said anything racist because he seemed legitimately taken aback by the insinuation.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but regardless of what happened before the video began, he still suggests that he'd be willing to have a Chinese person do it instead, which is blatantly racist. He's essentially saying, "Hey, I'm not racist, any minority is welcome to shine my shoes!"

And this is why I don't use public transport.

It's the other passengers I feel for. I know if I were them I would just be looking out of the window, and the next stop I would be off that bus! :lol

i disagree. i believe he chose another race at random, the tone of his voice and the expression in his eyes suggests that he really was on the defensive at that point.
 
The dumb ass girl turned the camera on herself at the end. Now everyone knows who stole the guys bag.
