Bush sweeps election...

The Channel One OneVote that is. Simply disgusting IMO. Bush damn near swept the whole country, apart from the Northeast and California. Weakscause. What made it worse was that the fucking Christian Coalition were in my classroom, cheering and whoooping and all that bullshit. Asshats were taling shit to me personally and all that mess.

At first I was pretty mad when I was watching it before lunch, but then I collected myself and came to the conclusion that YOUNG AMERICANS DESERVE TO BE DRAFTED TO IRAQ.

Let's see where their "morals" and Jesus are when they have to drive an unarmored supply truck 30mph in Falujah. To there credit, atleast there won't be "any faggots."

This better not be a foretelling of the events on November 2nd.

Just be content in the fact that, whether Kerry wins or losses (I think he’ll win,) those results are far from what the numbers will really be.

High schoolers don't have bills to pay, nor do they have -real- jobs, thus they rarely "vote" on anything but superficial issues.

I'm not saying they're stupid, I'm saying they don't have a complete world view.

ditto.

isn't channel one the show that spawned Anderson Cooper? I like the dude, but I remember watching him on that show 10 years ago. My has he grown up.

You are not alone. Italy, the UK, Australia and Poland also believe in George W Bush.
We have stupid people too.

Yes, because all young americans support Bush

Edit: Too make it clear....I feel this poll is drastically incorrect and was trying to point out a harsh generalization.

Didn't young people vote on nickelodeon or some channel like that and choose Kerry? These polls mean nothing.

OH YEAH! I remember watching Channel One as a freshman in high school.

I seriously can't believe that their poll is like this.

imagine bush pulls a 2000 and wins the election without majority of the votes. i think some of you would literally explode.

:lol

I honestly don't think many people pay attention to Channel One, no one certainly did back in my middle school. That, and mot people seem to be clueless as to what the "channel" is. Anyways, it's enough to make a claim to viewers of the show, but little in the huge run. This is coming from mostly people who cannot vote, or probblay have little knowledge of politics at all really. Honestly, take the amount of Americans who do care, and think wonder how many teenagers care. Then adolescents.

EDIT: Just read the above post, hah figures. This is very amusing though! It would have been equally funny had it been flipped, to be honest.

Uh, back in high school, I basically remember Channel 1 being a 15 minute Clearasil (sp) comericial. Perhaps this is just some sort of maleffective pimple demonstration.

That's just due to typical voter tampering in these types of online polls.

Nice quote. Print it out and distribute it among your classmates. Seriously.

one guy's last name was slang for vagina. and the other guys last name sounded like kaka -> shit in spanish.

i voted for bush.

Channel One has been around forever..we started to get it in fall of 1991 when i was in 8th grade.

Some notable news reporters who came from that show are

Anderson Cooper
Ryan Seacrest (SP?)
Serena Altschul (SP?) (she was on mtv for awhile)

This would have made me loose fucking control and beat the shit out of them. And you know what? They'd deserve it for mixing religion with politics.

Small balls, big fun!
This is so totally a political poll and I'm very disappointed in Hito for not dishing out hot, sticky justice.

It's also so rediculously absurd that it fails any reasonable expectation of a poll, but even ignoring that...

2) Liberal/Democrat posters supporting John Kerry for president may not post the results of any nation-wide opinion polls unless the results show George W. Bush leading by more than the margin of error.

...and shame on you for failing to document that ban. I'm the one who's disappointed.

Yeah, half the kids in my homeroom threw away the ballot card for that Ch1 vote, but they still had like 2M kids voting IIRC. Crazy. I guess the only ones motivated to go online and vote are Republicans. That or the future really is doomed. I know all the kids today were scratching their heads when they heard the results, but I bet most of them didn't even vote. If you'd have asked the same thing in 96 with Clinton in office, I bet the results would have been just as lopsided though. Not comforting, but I guess it's nothing to get too worried about either. Bush is gonna win this election, I just know it. :( PEACE.

Oh man, I can't believe they still have Channel 1. How old is it, 20 years old or something?

Anyway, I don't see anything to get mad over. Most of those who voted won't be at the real booths on Nov 2. Like shoplifter said, the criterion for these kids are largely superficial--I highly doubt that they are thinking of anything more important than looks and what not. If my highschool experince was anything to go by, most kids do not follow the issues, or even know who is running the country (I remember getting weird looks in my Civics class when I was the only one who was able to name people in the Clinton administration and in the congress).

What the hell is Channel One?

Meanwhile:

"Do you think the winner of OneVote will win the actual election on Nov. 2?"

Yes: 29%
No: 70%

Something's fishy.

Funny, I didn't vote, too buisy tearing it up in District soccer. But I stole one of the Christain Coalition member's ballot card. He didn't vote either, so that kinda balanced it out.
