It's been two weeks and I have not heard from him, but he's been on GAF all the while.

I messaged him Tuesday around lunch time saying I'd take it to paypal if I did not hear from him in 24 hours. I added that if there was something going on, to tell me. If he is laid up in the hospital right now and accessing GAF by laptop or something and unable to ship, I'd understand that. But no response.
Of course I haven't deployed, it got pushed back several times and then outright canceled. But here I am with no Xmas present for my wife or $180.

Maybe Paypal can work something out.
He seemed cool, oh well.

Edit: Or does anyone have any other options? Is it two early? I mean, he was supposed to ship on the 19th and has not responded since then, despite being online. The person it was supposed to have been shipped to never received anything.

Yes. I tracked it up to where it went out for delivery and then the post office said they didn't know why it wasn't delivered and didn't know what happened to it. So after a week+ of going in and calling every day and talking to supervisors, I started to file a complaint. And then he said in a pm after calling his post office that they showed it being returned to him.
I mean, none of that was his fault, I get that. It's just been what's happened since then.

I was actually chastised in this thread a bit the when I asked if I should ask for my money back since the post office lost it and was told I was crazy not to get insurance on an iPod.

Positive feedback for tetrisgrammaton

The corner of the case of Wario Land Shake It had a big crack in it that caused a bigger hairline crack inside of the case, so the case didn't get to me in exciellent condition as stated. :|

Still, the game disc itself was in mint condition and ultimately that's all that matters. :)

Just because you see a name on the positive list, you should always check the negative list too, that way you can judge whether you want to deal with the person.

Well thats bullshit, i sent the damn thing for the third time, the last two times it has come back as insufficient address. At first eyeliner was cool to deal with, but lately its been a pain in the ass, since the first time the address didnt work, he went out and bought another ipod,saying he wanted a refund. Well, i had already spent the money on school, and didnt have it, so i said i would try and sell it and send him the money. That didnt happen, so i offered to send the ipod back to him. I sent it to the address he told me to, and it came back again insufficient address. I sent it again thursday, but im frankly getting annoyed at the whole process. I have close to 100% positive feedback in this thread, and 100% positive feedback on ebay, im really not ripping anyone off. And its a joke you can add someone to the negative list because someone says something without investigating it.

Honestly, it sounds like eyeliner is more at fault here for not giving yoda enough of a chance to get the shipping issue worked out, especially since he saw that the item was being shipped as he had a tracking number. Going out and getting the product then demanding your money back is kinda hasty and unfair to a seller on a forum like this.

I think he said he only bought one because he thought he was getting deployed. Doesn't make it better or worse, but that was his reasoning.

If it came back twice, then it's not a good address.

Further thought: Why not just buy it in store the first time around if it were that easy to do?

Exactly. The post office said the package was lost, so I bought one since I was leaving for the middle east. That has since changed, but I would have rather had a cheap used iPod than spend the money on a brand new model.
I provided a different address since the first one didn't work for whatever reason the dickhead postal carrier has for not delivering it off his truck the first time. Don't know what is going on there.

And yes, I had no problem recommending him pages and pages ago even though I had a(n assumed) lost package at the time. I haven't gone to paypal yet, I would much rather reach a resolution, but it is hard to do when I can't get a hold of someone. I am attempting to do this though and have requested he be removed from the neg list.

I don't believe it was unfair in any way. The item had shipped already, I tracked it to being put on the truck for delivery, and then it somehow became lost with no one at the post office being able to locate it. I checked in every day for a over a week. Called multiple times and got no answer. I was given a claims form and told that pretty much it had been lost. Since I was supposed to have been leaving soon after that, I bought another iPod so I would have one when I left.
Days before I was supposed to leave he said it was on it's way back to him. I asked if it was possible to get my money back. I told him I even tried to find someone I knew to buy it from me if I ended up getting it sent back to me, but he said it was okay and when he received it he would send me the money back.

In no way was he at fault with the shipping issue. It's been an unfortunate mess and it did happen to me months and months ago with a Gamestop order, but that one got sent back when it reached here, it was never declared lost or anything.
I have since filed several complaints with the USPS and called a number that Crisis gave me. I will tell anyone that the Sumter, SC (and Shaw AFB for that matter) Post Office is inept and absolute garbage. I don't browse this thread too much anymore, but if I offer to buy something, maybe it would be better to turn me down, because who knows if I will receive the item or not.

Well I find it strange that you all of a sudden replied when you got negative feedback. That was the whole reason for doing this in the first place, to get your attention. I'm at work now and can't really access the file from here, but either I or Crisis will remove it today (or Zaraki if he's watching)

Next time don't hastily PM me if you are unsure about the situation.

And for you ReconYoda, just make sure you check your PMs and respond so no one thinks they are getting ripped off or whatever. Good communication is key and people like it when they get a response.

Only people who never refund/send the product will remain on the list permanently. People like Google and redshoepaul are examples. Sorry if you makes you angry but your positive feedback outweighs the 1 negative greatly. (which will be removed today)

About lost packages that were shipped:
I dont think sellers should be held accountable. Just like with ebay. If the package was shipped that is something that the buyer and the post office have to figure out. The buyer can request insurance, tracking, etc.

Where can I find the positive/negative feedback list?

I would put a tracking number on everything, it only costs an extra dollar.

I mailed something to goozex that was "lost" by the USPS and they said it was too bad for me. Try returning something you bought online or on eBay and telling them the item may be lost but you sent it and you expect your refund.

This is an unfair double standard that makes the buyer in a worse position than seller. Buyer getting a package and something goes wrong? His fault for not requesting tracking. Buyer returning a package and something goes wrong? His fault for not getting tracking.

When I first started selling stuff on the internet years ago I never used delivery confirmation. I had more than a couple of buyers that "never got" my packages. Once I started putting delivery confirmation on everything I sold I never had another package not show up.

I actually have two of these things I bought at Toys R Us on clearance for $20 each. Sadly, the backlight stopped working on them and apparently it's a well known issue with these PSone LCD screens. I barely used the one and the other was still sealed.

Make sure if you get a hold of someone who has one, it's in working order!
