Requiring prices is pretty much a staple for any bst forum. If they want to see what they're worth they have plenty of options to do so. Requiring people to send PM's wastes everyone's time when they could post a price they want to get for it. If they have any room to work they can post the price with or best offer.

Yeah, even if one is "open to offers" and is flexible, it's nice to at least have a ballpark range of what one would be willing to entertain.
One doesn't need to say "I'll go as low as $XX.XX," since of course someone's going to offer $XX.XX.
But, I mean, like with my GB/GBC/GBA games I just include a note of:
And that has worked well enough, where most people writing me have been in the general range that I've been hoping, and most of us have ended up happy.
Obviously people are free to do whatever they want within the rules of the thread.
But, it's nice to have at least a general idea of what one is dealing with.

Sorry AJ, terry, and baphomet, I have the utmost respect for all three of you, but I have to agree with sphinx here. It may be true that many other BST forums require a listed price, but this one does not. Let people make listings without prices if they want. It's not hurting anyone. Sometimes I list prices, sometimes I don't. Nobody's using BST to get rich, I think. This is a place to give each other good deals and sell stuff we don't want. In that same vein, people should be able to make listings however they like as long as it's within the rules. I mean, if you list something without a price, you should know you're putting the onus on the interested party to reach out, and that that might result in fewer people contacting you, but that's really up to the seller if they want do so.
