I just went with cox cable and was installing the software to use the supplied modem. I have no experience with this....

The installation software said some of my setting were wrong and then my computer froze, after restarting it would not let me open the installation disc... I was going to start over.

But since it wouldn't let me open the disc I decided to open my dialup account BUT with my cable modem...I wanted to see what would happen... I opened right up, here I am surfing with cable and I never installed anything.... Definitly not using dailup right now.

Anyway, hell this might be normal but I wouldn't know... Should I just be happy with the way it is or try to install it proper?

Generally you don't have to install the software, unless you're using usb. If you can I'd just uninstall the stuff.

I finally worked it out...thanks Doug.

interesting... I was testing download speeds.. AOL dowloaded a 6 meg video about 5 times faster than MSN did... Plus I just hated the way that MSN explorer looks...I thought AOL was bad...

Got any advice on browsers?

Thanks for the help guys

Hey guys, here's a question... I am going to make my own homepage for my PSP with links to all my favorite sites.. that way I won't have to type the URL for GA for example... But to do that I need to be able to find the number for any given page... how do you do that?

you know, those numbers that look like this... 168.11.1.345.1 whatever.... Something like that.. I need to be able to find that number for the homepage I build..
