Sounding absolutely awesome and well-produced too, in stark contrast to the first few tracks off of Comfort Eagle that reeked of cheap drum machine.

Anyone still love these guys like I do?

Awesome! Yeah, I really like them as well, even if their songs are all remarkably similar. It's their trademark sound though.

I really like them, but I think they may have overused vehicle metaphors...that "wheels" clip just sounds too reminiscent of a number of other songs they've produced.

Still looking forward to hearing more though.

Cake is the best getting-over-breakup music ever! I just really noticed it after my last breakup but its sad cuz you can tell that poor dude's been dropped more times than acid at a phish concert.

Great band. A lot of my friends hate them because "the singer doesn't sing." Their loss though. Comfort Eagle was such a great and fun album.

It means they ripped off Soul Coughings' "style" in a big way. (One could argue that Soul Coughing ripped off Basehead, though, so... alls fair, I guess)

I knew about Cake in the early 90s before I knew of Soul Coughing, so I would not say they ripped them off. Plus, Soul Coughing is a much rougher sound. Cake lends itself to multicultural influences.
