Very little of it based on actual skillWait no sbmm
ExactlyEven if the lobbies aren't all that much easier (still a closed beta) that's not the main point. Every match should feel organic. I shouldn't do well one match and have to brace myself for misery in the next one.

I am not remotely saying I was great at this game but when the MM was based on ping in earlier CODs I could drop a lot of nukes and in turn would run into demons in some lobbiesLot of people about to find out that they simply suck at the game lol

This isn't the case. The system in COD is retention based match making to ensure the vast majority of the player base has the odd good game. This system didn't exist 15 years ago.SBMM has just become a general scapegoat term for all losing/dying grievances in COD. This term didn't exist 15 years ago. You just either won or lost, sucked or didn't suck. That's it. If they announced they removed it now people would probably have meltdowns after realizing they can still not stomp every single match or would start conspiracies that they didn't really remove it. That's how entrenched it has become as a scapegoat.
Nope, there are several elements to Warzone era Cod matchmaking intended to gaslight the player. I call it casino matchmaking. The entire experience is rigged and once you learn how it works the whole thing becomes pointless. Why bother capping that B flag if it means your next match will be worse?SBMM has just become a general scapegoat term for all losing/dying grievances in COD. This term didn't exist 15 years ago. It's running through to Wednesday because they know if they have a 'second weekend' they'll be humiliated by the BF6 launch.what's the point of not making the open beta available on saturday?
there's no quests active in the beta obviously, it's a survival map.Additionally what's up with the box in the basement? We searched for aaaages about it but couldn't figure it out. Did find the trashcan thing but wasn't sure if they were linked.
But for casuals or employed people, having basically only sunday to try the beta sucks a lotIt's running through to Wednesday because they know if they have a 'second weekend' they'll be humiliated by the BF6 launch.
I can't go back to how it was before now I've seen how things can be. If they go back to EOMM I think I'm done for good with this franchise. This is the moment things need to change. We need persistent lobbies next.

I just spent 90 minutes playing multiplayer. There was still a lot of sweat, the overall feeling it gave me was relief. Teamwork, people moving normally around the map and not slide cancelling or bunny hopping everywhere. It's so much better.
Sure, but Activision don't care about that lol. This is their hail mary to win players back before they lose them for good on Friday. But for casuals or employed people, having basically only sunday to try the beta sucks a lot
You've come in here and given your uninformed take, had 2 people explain to you how the matchmaking is actually incredibly manipulative and not changed your mind. That sounds like a you problem. You logic and reasoning here is not dissuading me of my point but only confirming it....
It's not just the difficulty. Every lobby is different and you have to get a feel for how the other team is playing. That's what I missed most. There is definitely more variation in terms of "lobby difficulty" in the reduced SBMM playlist, which is a positive, especially considering how limited the player count is currently
4 hours. What time is the open beta starting? Anyone have a countdown?
This is the worst COD ever released
Playing nothing but ranked it's very easy to see how SBMM is horrible.Lot of people about to find out that they simply suck at the game lol

That's not good enough, because they can just take it away once a few people buy the game. It needs to be a full change with persistent lobbies.Right, that's part of the difficulty I was referring to.
They will probably keep this as a "mosh pit" for the main release
It feels just like BLOPS 6 with a few tweeks. This is the worst COD ever released, just feels off, visuals are not as good as usual, feels like xDefiant.
Couple of neat tweeeks, though. It feels just like BLOPS 6 with a few tweeks.
cod server reset is always at the same time, which currently is 1900 CEST, which is 40 minutes from nowIsn't the open beta live for people who didn't pre order as of 4 minutes ago?
Not sure how to access it on ps5. Have it downloaded

The gun play is almost identical to 6.Maps are trash and don't have much flow, shooting doesn't feel like CoD and the look of the game isn't what I expect from the franchise. Beta and all, but this one screams a very deep sale at the most. At least for my money. This series has grown stale.
Not strawmanning anyone here in particular but the people who say this stuff usually pull the soyjak face every time Infinity Ward put out a game where every map has 100 doors and windows to camp behind with claymores. The gun play is almost identical to 6.
The maps are pretty standard 3 lane COD affairs, better than the launch offerings from 6 if a little too large.
The beta isn't perfect by a long shot but I don't see these complaints as being valid.
The sequel to those would be unironically much better received.Have you played Advanced Warfare or Infinite Warfare?
