I think it;s the dev kits thing. SW2 runs cybper punk pretty well compared to the ps4 gen. That alone should tell you the system is capable. Also everything this gen has been for the most part cross gen, all of that can run on the switch 2.

COD sells tens of millions of copies every year. Even if the hardcore aren't the target market for Switch consoles, there's still a meaningful
portion of COD players who would want to play these games on the move.
A COD port on Switch 2 would find no real issue with profitability.

Setting aside the fact that this is the kind of game that some people play for hours every day for a year straight and so they might see an advantage to having a portable version (especially if there's cross-progression), the Switch 2 mouse controls (if implemented) could give some players an edge over those using standard controllers. I don't play CoD though, so I'm just speculating here.

Apparently they did some massive reduction in size recently.
Might be in prep for switch 2 or are starting to feel a bit of pressure from bf6 so trying to make some moves to make the community happy.

No the actual size reduction was done back during MWIII, what they did recently was just decouple the file system from MWIII and MWII in preparation to support BO7, which decreased the sizd a bit, but it will naturally just go back up again when BO7 releases.
