Playing the beta, it definitely feels nice, the movement seems to be … idk less fluid than BO6? Like it's the Omni movement but not as crazy I guess but the wall jumping is nice touch. I think they had that in black ops 3, and a few other older CoD games.

Sorry for double post, but is this essentially a mode where SBMM isn't determining who you are match up with and it's just random?
 
So I opened the game and I was greeted with a rather butch looking lesbian with dreads... Does this woke shit ever end?

Game's fun but it should've gone full titanfall 2, it might end up with a Advanced Warfare or IW situation where the actual game is decent but it ends up as a forgettable entry
 
After playing it... it's actually not bad. I guess it's just the aesthetics that are weird / take some getting used to

I've found that the matchmaking is much quicker and my ping is better but see no difference in the open options for SBMM. Maybe it's just the more dedicated playing the beta.
 
Played it a bit more. It's decent, and a refreshing change from BO6, MW3, MW2 etc.

All maps I've played so far also seem
OK. No out and out stinkers.

TTK a bit too quick for me.

Points are whack! Spent 3 minutes in the hardpoint in one game and was far outscored by folk with 0 time in the hardpoint but 20 more kills.

In the scoreboard. The 0 and 8 look the same to my old man eyes and really makes my teeth itch.

Will play for the 3 months I have on GPU before it expires and decide whether to buy or not for the remainder of the year.
 
Lol not sure if open moshpit is any better, had a game that was significantly worse than what I normally get, just an entire team with insane sniper rifle kills from any angle over and over again lol.
 
Yeah no open matchmaking is way sweatier, pretty much every game is people openly talking shit over the mic, sliding around with their laser snipers and everyone uses stimshots, bespoke teams of players teaming up.
Back to regular matchmaking and nobody speaks, and it generally feels more balanced and varied with tactics, everyone random.
 
So tactical, lethal, field upgrades and score streaks have something called overclocks(2 so far)that once you level it up, it unlocks a overclock which improves the gear.

Example: Overclock ability 1: RCXD has increase gunfire resistance.
Overclock ability 2: See target indicators on occluded enemies in medium range.
 
Gave it another go last night and felt it was even worse than I initially thought. On PC the movement feels floaty and imprecise, the gunplay is awful and half the time you're at the mercy of what the system decides in terms of who wins what gunfight. The whole live-kill-repeat aspect of the series has never been worse with this one and the audio is atrociously bad. Same goes for performance.

I wanted to give it an honest shot but I alt+f4'd and uninstalled.

Your comment undersells the wokeness on display here. Not only is it a woman who is twice as buff as Abby, but a Maori woman with full tattoos. And she also has a prosthetic arm and leg. The first time I booted it up, I was greeted with a rather unattractive Indian or Pakistani woman, wearing what could be a hijab running around on screen like a male military vet.

This didn't really make me wanna go any further, but I figured I should at least play a round, to see what it plays like. Well that was a mistake, it was a bunch of people just sliding everywhere. One guy was just one-shot quick-scoping everybody with a sniper rifle while sliding around. after a few minutes I just exited the game and uninstalled it.

Much better knowing your not going to get absolutely creamed in the next few games if you even do slightly above average is a big improvement. Still needs Non-disbanding lobbies though.

Had some great games, even when I'm beaten. Hopefully this system stays for the full release.

This was the problem, I'd have no issues with SBMM if it worked as it sounds and kept you in relatively tight games with people around your level.

But it doesn't.

You just get put in endless cycles of winning 4 or 5 in a row, then getting put in games you have no chance of winning for 4 or 5 in a row. It's so predictable and annoying.

I realise in random games you are still going to win easily and get trounced, but you'll never know what's coming. That's important, and will remove that artificial matchmaking experience.

Looks like the low numbers, and excitement for BF6 lit a fire under one of these fucktards.

Went from zero interest, to wait and see.

Exactly what so many have said that understood the current SBMM is hating how you know your experience is going to be predetermined in the next few matches based on how you are playing now and I hated it.

People begged them to stop it but they thought they knew better

I have always been a COD fan, nothing scratches that itch like their quick matches but for the first time in quite awhile I am not giving them the money

Between BF6, Hell Let Loose and even to a degree World of Tanks my shooter genre is full
 
Hit max level in the beta. I do like the sound when you get headshots. But I think this year il just playthrough the sp and call it a day. Wait for the engine change/rework from IW for MW4.
I won't be buying battlefield 6 as the beta didn't impress me. Felt the same as before. Unless they completely rework their progression systems and unlocks.

Its an off year, which will do 20 million+ regardless of what gaf says.

How many times have we been here? Besides that If BF eats its lunch this year all it means is a better product for everyone next year.
