Ok I have to say:

Back in 2003 there where Unreal Tournament. It had crazy movement, crazy weapons and power ups, all kinds of crazy maps and gamemodes. Along came COD. The fans preferred COD because it was a more down to earth game, with "basic weapons" and straight forward maps and movement.

And now we have this. You gotta hand it to Activision; they played it smart. They have essentially redone the evolution of FPS all over again, and for each new game they bring up something someone else has done already, calls it a new name like Boost Dodge and presents it like an invention.

But who cares really, people like the games...

This is very true. But look on the bright side. This will lead to more publishers green lighting area Shooters in a bid to chase the COD/Titanfall crowd.

Looks good, I'm definitely getting this, but I really hate how they've taken a step backwards in regards to some of the improvements Ghosts made to the series. Ghosts effectively improved on the pick 10 system by allowing you to choose any perk without using any extra points, but that has been thrown out the window in Advanced Warfare, going back to the exact same way create a class worked in Black Ops 2. The number of perks seems ridiculous too, I spotted what, 5 per category? And there were absolutely no new perks to be seen, they were all old ones. The great addition of the marksman rifle weapon category from Ghosts is also not there, from what I could see.

It was boring in Ghosts. After you prestige, you can go right back to your old loadout by simply buying the stuff rather than waiting for unlock. You had so much of that in game currency that prestiging was literally just for the look. So I'm at level one again but I already have everything I need.

Looks awesome. As a Casual cod fan the changes make this look much more interesting than the game we've been playing since Cod4.

I dont like the perk system because it will be like blops 2 and ghosts where people run with one weapon and a shitload of perks. No rock/paper/scissors planning in perks.

Is there a list of all the weapons and perks yet?

That's why I enjoy the new systems.

I get rid of all lethal/tactical grenades plus secondary weapons and equipment,

and just use a primary weapon. I'll most likely get rid of streaks with this too.

God no, as much as I love Titanfall I don't want every game to be like it. We already had a plethora of clones last generation, I hope we avoid that this gen.

I loved CoD2, and World at War.

Loved CoD4: Modern Warfare also, and WaW's visuals got to benefit from MW's improvements.
we are COD soulmates ;_;

I LOVED COD4 like everyone did but I thought WaW other than the muddy-ish visuals was a close second and one of the best COD titles ever made. COD2 was good times as well. I want to use them old bolt action rifles again. Need my mosin nagant. It's funny isn't it. Back then everyone used to fucking GROANNNNN and WHINEEE about another WW2 game. Now we've had a zillion modern/sci fi shooters and no one says shit.

But then theres no strategy of balance. Everyone is a master at everything. The previous cods where you specialized is gone.

I don't see how the unlocking system has anything to do with the customization options, which is what I was talking about. Although now that you mention it, forcing players to grind for XP (or supply drops, or whatever) all that much is also a step backwards when to compared to Ghosts.

The game will probably be better than Ghosts, I assume. I'm disappointed that they are effectively ignoring everything that game did right, though.

Overall I must say that it looks much better than I was expecting.

Graphics are not 'amazing', but the gameplay looks very promising. They have obviously put a lot of effort into changing things up a bit and borrowed from games like Halo 4, and Titanfall, but the end result looks like it will be fun to play.

But then theres no strategy of balance. Everyone is a master at everything. The previous cods where you specialized is gone.

eh, it's just different. Just pick your perks and stuff wisely to combat everything else. At the end of the day, it's all about your weapon skills.

Even the older cods, there was still balancing issues. I am mainly a Free for All player, so I'm not taking into account team modes or objectives. Maybe that's why I prefer this system.

I was hoping for more traversal options but this seems to be going way overboard and looks extremely unbalanced. People were flying and boost-flying/mid-air dodging and combined with low TTK it just looked like a complete mess.

What's the point of map design / map flow if everyone is gonna be flying around in mid-air?

I hated what jetpacks did to Halo multiplayer and this looks even more poorly implemented.

The low ttk is ridiculous I was hoping they would go back to blops 1. I am kind of disappointed now.

Yeah I think they have some cool ideas in there, but chances for epic moments and awesome utilization of new gear and perks is pretty low due to the fact that you seem to have zero survivability. Probably gonna pass on the game mainly because of this.

Looks great and i'm happy to finally see a new take on Call of Duty. Took some inspiration from Crysis, Titanfall but that's not a bad thing to be honest. It looks fast and fun !

Will buy for sure ! I hope it's a solid 60fps/1080p on PS4 because most of my friends are buying this for PS4 and i will too.

Is it possible to get the atlas edition as day zero?

Might just spend my game shares on this game.

Yes, it extends to previous pre-orders too:

"Will Day Zero early access and custom weapons be available on Collector’s Editions of the game?

"Yes, the Collector’s Editions will also be available on November 3rd, and will contain everything that comes with the Day Zero Edition."

It looks good, gonna be hard to resist it come November.

But Christ, they're not shy about lifting from Treyarch are they?

Scorestreaks

Hardpoint

Pick 10 Pick 13

Even the War gamemode from WaW

This isn't a Sledgehammer vs. Treyarch thing, I'm just not sure what they expect Treyarch to do with Black Ops 3 now.

Still, some cool things in there, as I expected the boost and dash opens things up a lot. I actually wonder how quickly players will come to grips with it...

Customisable scorestreaks sounds pretty neat. You could balance out only having one scorestreak in your 13 by beefing one up a little.

Firing range is cool, a nice idea and hopefully lives up to what they've said (that you can drop into it while in a lobby)

Speaking of lobbies, I like the new system a lot. Lets you take a good look at what people are wearing (otherwise that side of customization is sort of pointless since you don't have time in a gunfight to admire their getup. Didn't see any female faces though... seems silly to leave it out once it's officially in the franchise.

Lastly, Uplink looks bananas. Looks more like weaponized basketball than anything else, which is brilliant.

I have a good feeling about this game.

The game looks good but I don't think it looks balanced enough at all. So many weapons kill in 1 shot, and recoil is still non-existent. The theme may have changed but it's still good ole cheesing COD in the end. I guess the best part is that camping is no longer an option. It's move or be killed.
