Welp, I just don't know what to do.

I turned the game on tonight and...I feel like I'm over it. I'm just so deflated after several entries of not being able to get the final camos. I know it is silly. I know that they're just cosmetics. But I don't play for W/L or KDR. (I do always play objectives and try my best in team modes.) I like the camos because they give me a reason to play for something specific that I like and want. I thought of four other ways they could've done the camo grind that would be more reasonable.

I keep overnight hours and don't watch much TV, so gaming is what I do. I don't really have anything else to play. This blows. Sorry to always rant and vent about the camo grind, but it's what keeps me playing. I suppose that I could always grind out some solo Zombies for some camos. *shrug*

I just can't be bothered with these checkpoints lmao. I just wanted to look at the single player

I cant agree with this. Black ops 4 maps weren't anything memorable imo. In fact some of them felt like they were designed around black ops 3 gameplay that changed halfway through development after the reaction to infinite warfare.
Couldn’t agree more. They just morphed into a big collection of forgettable maps that were designed for wall running.

I’m struggling to remember the name of one map. Arsenal comes to mind but that’s it.

Coupled with no campaign, it ranks as my worst Call of Duty.

Anyone any idea why the Tsarkov Furious from the BattlePass doesn't work?

I only spawn with my sidearm qgen I select a loadout with tge Tsarkov Furious, but a loadout with a regular Tsarkov loads without any problems.

I only remember two BO4 maps. One with a church and one on the beach.

I had the same issue with a sniper rifle. Had to remove all the attachments and put them back on.

I had the same thing with the scourge camo, and when I applied the gunfighter perk it was already stacked with 8/8 attachments which I think I added in zombies before prestiging. I reset the gun to default (by pressing Y and then choose set to default, and I could use the camo again in MP.

For people who really love to just camo grind there are a couple of ways to do this in Directed Mode in Zombies

I have always been a huge MP guy but honestly having more fun just grinding guns and camos in Zombies as of late as I can just shut off the brain and chat with people and grind

When I really want my MP fix I will venture into Hell Let Loose

Long time COD player - since original COD4 MW and I’m just loving this game. Haven’t been hooked like this in some time. Great maps, guns feel great and it was free with game pass? Crazy

Yea the church one, and this hacienda one. I was really disappointed with black ops 4. I loved Black Ops 3. I then skipped Cold War because of the sour taste left by Black Ops 4.

Just hit prestige 4 but having a shit night overall, don't think this SBMM is working like it's supposed to. I'll have a couple of great games where I'm at the top and then it will decide I'm a god-tier player and put in me in rooms with people who seem to play CoD for a living 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unlocked the power drill. Its funny as fuck running around with this. May as well get it to Dark Matter.

For some reason, the game wont let me use the Turmoil Blueprint for the Auto shotgun. Its in my loadout but when in match, I spawn with pistols and wont let me change gun. So weird.

That's unfortunately working exactly as intended.

After playing this for almost 40 hours, Im almost done with this game. The game itself is great but God damn, the maps are awful imo. Scud and vortusk are great, maybe derelict and skyline. That's about it though, new s1 maps are awful. Plus almost every team I'm thrown in is absolutely shit and braindead.

not going to stop playing blops6, but yeah, I think it's gonna take a couple more seasons before maps show up that I feel really good about like in MWIII.
The maps are shit. I was tired of playing Nuketown every 2nd game. When I was playing MW3 this morning a map came up Bait I've never played before and wow it's better than every BO6 map by a lot.

Exclusiveace is correct in saying the best maps have 3 lanes

With some camos, there is a hip laser attached by default. Like the endowment camo for Ames 85, that has the default cross hairs, and a hip laser that lights up your path so everyone can see you coming. I guess its a playing style? I changed it out with a 1.25 scope. But maybe Im missing something with how its supposed to be used?

I think you meant blueprint, camos don't have any attachment, anyway hip active lasers tend to give a massive bonus to hip firing, but the downside is that people might see you coming.
Thing is the laser angle changes when you are sprinting, so it's not always visible in a straight line, combine this with switching weapons at the right times and you can counter the disadvantage.

How’s that shotgun with hip fire? I’ve been struggling with that in this game for whatever reason

Yep I meant blueprint A few of them come with the hip laser attachment and it feels like I got a big blinking sign over my head, asking for trouble.

I loved the BR mode in blops4... was it blackout? My brother and I played that mode to death, prob more than we do warzone. I'd love to see blackout return even if it's just the map remade for nostalgia.

Yeah Blackout was the tits. Plus it had Rebirth my all time favourite map.

Nah. I miss a few of the maps from MW3, but BO6 just plays better. Never go back!

Beginning to find love for Vorkuta!
The maps have grown on me. Theres only Redcard and Lowdown that i actively dislike and avoid.

Payback and skyline are great maps.

I reckon I’ve played them 2 or 3 times each 😂 (I spend 90% of my time in faceoff - having to wean myself off). Definitely not enough to form an opinion. To be fair, I can tolerate just about any map as long as it’s hardpoint or domination. They are also good game modes for learning maps.

Never played any of the Black Ops games, so Cold War is my first entry into it, and having just recently played more of the campaign from it, it certainly has the production values of a big budget movie

Love me some faceoff. I have it in rotation but not exclusively.

Off topic... Are you playing Hell Let Loose on PS5? If so, how's the player count these days? I've got it on PC but I'd love to play it on PS5 providing the players are there.

Player count is very good since it’s call consoles playing together. Worst part about making that move is progression does not carry over so you would be starting over

I really like how viable they made melee builds in zombies now, it's almost the only way I play; really makes sad my gundam beam saber didn't carry forward 😅, but hopefully this means we'll get more and more interesting melee weapons now.

I did not know about Directed Mode! I'm going to check it out right now. Thank you for all the help!

Edit: I started up Directed Mode as a solo in Liberty Falls. The intro was pretty cool, and now this loadout menu music is trippin' me out haha. My trusty C9 is available.

...

Made it 6 rounds solo, fucking about. Then the zombies got me. Not bad. What do I keep, if anything, and what do I lose by dying?

If you equip the pistol weapon (GS45?) or buy it off the wall in the opening area, then take it to the pack-a-punch machine in the church, you're on the way to becoming basically invincible. Each shot causes an explosion that can take out a huge group of zombies, so you should also get the Phd perk thing from the steps up to the church, so you don't get caught in the blast.

I set up a dual pistol build, pack-a-punched it all the way to the max, and killed zombies in directed mode until I got bored (3000+). It's quite cathartic. Even the big Wolfenstein boss things go down in one or two shots.
