And you're welcome, it's practically the only class I use. I love the fact that it's stealthy and able to be used in practically any encounter.

It was in a ground war safeguard game on breach with gravity spikes.

The entire team were in the final room before the end point and I came in from down the stairs with my silenced razorback and took two out on the stairs then gravity spiked 7 of them lol.

I'm sure I only managed to sneak up on the rest due to the silencer.

Kinda like the look of that new zombie map thats coming in the DLC so thought I'd try out Zombies for the very first time just now and it was easily one of the most confusing experiences I've had in gaming for a long time. I probably should have done it in single player first to get a feel for it but I seriously did not have a clue what was going on lol. In the end I just left the game after like 25 minutes or so because the team just kept running off in different directions and it was like no one even attempted to play as a team or back up each other.

Yea you definitely want to read a guide as it's pretty complex if you want to try and complete the objective/Easter eggs.

The zombie map in the Awakening DLC is awesome though. The alternate history WW2 setting would make a great CoD campaign!

Same for me: I started really bad, stopped playing for a month and was thinking about selling the game... decided to give it another chance last week and went from 0.70 to 0.88 (still growing). Hopefully I get into the positive by the end of the month.

I'm still trying to figure out the best perks (I just realized that Ghost is useless since I try tend to shoot down every UAV/C-UAV, lol) but I'm really having a ton of fun.

I prefer Ghost to be honest. I'd rather be invisible than have to look up at the sky and shoot it down for 75 points (all while remaining visible on the radar). I suppose engineer can help you find it faster, but I would still rather not be seen at all.

Yeah I was thinking about using Engineer. I wouldn't trow away 75pts since I can barely get to a carepackage Lol
Need to experiment a bit, I still consider myself a starter. Any tips is appreciated

I've been saying this since WAW. It's so ripe for it. The characters alone can hold it together, even if it's a retread of all the maps since then. It would be awesome.

So I'm confuddled, do I have to have the season pass or can I just buy the DLC separately ? Steam store shows only the season pass and ingame I have the option to buy the dlc pack but when I click the link it gives me a blank page basically.

[EDIT] nevermind, it just showed up now on my Steam store page doh!

I've been playing on X1, DLC playlist and it has crashed on me three times as a game finishes. Final kill came, top three players, black screen, boom back to dashboard. Three times now out of a total of maybe 6-7 games.

Never had this happen before. Come on Treyarch.

Woah Splash is proper trippy but really fun! Had a game on Skyjacked too and I actually liked it whereas the consensus seems to be that its shit, even got 2 x bloodthirsty medals with my Brecci on it which I'm using currently to get the gold camo and this was against a team that had 4 guys from the same clan. Can't wait to test the rest of the maps and learn them.

Bit of a newbie question though: I take it these maps will appear on regular playlists too in Core ( along with the vanilla maps in the rotation ) or do I have to search games on Extra as currently theres a DLC 1 playlist there or would that be just a timed thing for now ?

I would definitely recommend experimenting with weapons and weapon types to see what fits you. Easy specialists things to use are the Gravity Spikes, War Machine, Glitch, and Vision Pulse. Look at the minimap, but don't focus solely on it. Learn the maps, and stay on the outskirts and try to flank your enemies. Use a suppressor and ghost to stay off the map at all times if you're moving. Fast hands + QuickDraw allows you to dominate gunfights after sprinting. Get used to the movement system and such, and find streaks that fit your potential. Flak Jacket, Tac Mask, and Hard Wired help towards survivability. Blind eye, cold blooded, and engineer are great against streaks (alongside the Blackcell and EMPs). Sixth Sense and Tracker are pretty lame in my opinion. Dead Silence helps against sound whores. Awareness is great if you have a good headset. Learn how people use maps and learn when to rush and when to back down and defend. I would give you my class, but it's designed to earn the highest streaks and is generally completely reliant on player skill. Look at good gameplay to try to learn from them.

Edit: DLC maps appear in regular map rotations.

I do think that it's not interconnected enough for how big it is. There's always a lane that's devoid of life. Unless you're playing Ground War or something.

Rise is super easy to lock down the B flag when you've got something like the Man-o-war. That map flows really well in my opinion.

Splash was okay, but I was on a terrible team that didn't know how to cap flags.

Gauntlet seems okay, but the B flag is a death trap, and it's hard to see in the jungle.

These are only after one game, haven't played on Skyjacked yet.

I've played all maps atleast twice now and I'd rank them as follows:

#1 Splash due to the complexity. At first it felt like it was too big for CoD but once you get the hang of it, it actually turns out to be a very cool map.

#2 Rise. Aesthetically not my favorite but as you say the map flows really nicely.

#3 Skyjacked. Delightfully compact and to a degree fairly predictable for the compact map fans looking to complete shotgun/knife challenges. This is based on a few quick go's though and the fact that knives and shotties seemed to be my doom most of the time.

#4 Gauntlet. Not sure what it is but this map is my least favorite, it certainly doesn't mean its a bad map but something about it just doesn't make me "feel it" and the B point in Dom is definately quite open though if you got some back up and you go prone next to a crate you should be fairly safe.

[Edit] Finally got all my shotguns golded, the sheer relief I'm feeling right now for not having to touch these silly things cannot be described.

i don't have the dlc, but i'm on x1 and it's been crashing constantly since i downloaded the update yesterday.

Just started working on the Der Eisendrache easter egg and goddamn it's a chore to do. Having to upgrade bows per player, those fucking wisps, and that
Boss Battle. Jesus christ, it's insane. Also hilarious that it's better than Destiny's battles.

I mean WT actual F were they thinking.... They allready had a shitstorm blowing their way when the most basic game modes weren't available in HC at launch (HC KC and HC DOM).

I thought they learned, but hey, that's just silly ol' me thinking wishfully.

Im not going to buy the damn DLC until it's available in HC.

What a dumb choice, omitting basic content from specific modes. The only difference is health ffs.........

There is hardcore in it.

Hardcore Moshpit is in the DLC 1 Awakening playlist.

This one can be done solo, can't it? It's always a gamble to see which ones can or can't.

Hmm I've been mixing and matching the core playlist with the Awekening Bonus playlist but I've yet to see any DLC maps in the core rotation. Guessing for the time being the DLC maps are in their own playlists and they'll be added to the standard rotation later ? Not a big deal but I still like playing the old maps too so basically I have to hop between lobbies at the moment if I want a bit of both.

They should already be in the standard rotation. You're just getting unlucky.

So people are still going out of the map on Splash. I don't know if these are the original spots they didn't bother to patch for Xbone or if they're new ones, but this is embarrassing.

And the game just froze on me during a match.

Game is freezing a lot more since the patch on X1. Last night in a party of 4 we had different guys freeze 3 times in a row while trying to join a match and then I froze on the loading screen after the match. IDK what's going on but it's pretty annoying.

Really liking the new maps with the limited time I've had. Skyjacked was weird at first like I had been there before. Then I realized it was an upgrade from Hijacked. :duh

I was using a class similar to the one TheGoreMagala was using except I wasn't using the suppressor or Ghost. I switched it up last night and had a blast. Gonna roll with it for awhile. Though I'm using Battery instead of Ripper because I dig the gibs.

So you're using my exact class now? Is that what you meant when you said that you switched it up? Either way, I'm just happy that it's working out for you! Just use whatever you personally prefer and find comfortable.

my favorite gun in the game, but still needs long barrel though...with all of the other AR's being 1-shot kill from almost anywhere, and the LMG's being full auto 1-shot kill sniper rifles, the fact that the ICR's damage falls off so quickly and needs that second bullet too often makes it slightly annoying...

I just got brass knuckles and the MX Garand from a rare supply drop. I've never gotten any of the special weapons before, so I found this both hilarious and satisfying. I don't really care about the brass knuckles, but I did want the MX Garand.

Spent a good 3hrs this morning playing HC game modes as I was leveling the pistols and not once did a dlc map come up in the rotation which leads me to believe that at the moment the dlc maps are only available for play on their dedicated playlists on the PC. Any other PC players experienced this or am I just having the most random luck ?
