Any tips on the easiest way to make your NAT type open? I'm at moderate right now. I kind of remember how to login to a modem and give a specific IP address a pass, but I didn't know if there was an easier way to go about it now.

This is the first CoD multiplayer I am enjoying on PC since the original Modern Warfare.

Having actual, real, non PR speak Dedicated Servers is the BEST.

Sorry if answered many times already but not really been reading all of thread, just this page.

If they are insistent on making it connection speed prioritised matchmaking over skill level, how do they expect to attract new players after month 1?

The hardcore are going to be so many levels and weaponed up beyond belief that going into any match will just be an exercise in frustration of getting slaughtered. As expressed above, I'm finding it ridiculous in week 1 facing the bulk of a team 30-40 levels above me. And I'm not a bad player per se.

They (Acti) has your moneiz, so suck it. ;) Haha! Kidding. No idea. But yeah, matchmaking is seriously shit. Might be worse I've experienced in a CoD game.

Just hate that I'm at level 28, and I need to grind out more just to get a gun, which I have to grind also to get its attachments. Fuck.

Don't know what it is about this cod. I'm shocked at how positive the scores were. Just feels like a very unrefined entry to the series on all fronts. A lot of content, but none of it is that great.

The campaign is actually pretty bad. Online just isn't that fun. It feels like a real grind this time too, much slower to level up. None of the weapons feel great, especially coming straight off of Halo where almost all of the guns feel awesome to use.

Spent about 10 hours with the game now thinking it'll click at some point... But it just feels distinctly average all around.

I hear you. I played the hell out of the beta and got pumped at the final game. Now that I have it? Eh. MP is fun, but feels chaotic. Wall running and supers should add another depth, but it doesn't really.

It's super grindy compared to past CoDs, no? You have to hit level X to get X weapon, and then you have to do X thing to get X item. It's like the carrot-on-a-stick thing from past CoD was dialed to 11. Ditto with the "energy drink gameplay" infusion. It's as if Treyarch found CoD's gameplay slow and wanted to make it faster yet again. Because that's what CoD needs...less strategy and more running, and more stuff that can kill you in one-hit. :(

I'm still going to play it, but just going to do so until I get Battlefront.

The game is really inconsistent. I can do really well one game, and really bad the next, against the same players.

One game it's like they're not even shooting and the next game, according to the kill cam, I'm not shooting. That weird delay, that has been in every Treyarch cod game, is still there. You've just got to get lucky.

Happening to me a lot, too. In one game, I can get 28-5, and then go 11-19 in the next with the same enemies. It's more of map memorization, and whatnot, no? I sure as shit am shooting the same way every match, but for some reason, sometimes, the enemies don't die...and at others? They die way too fast.

I was already having trouble finding Gun Game matches last night on PC... I hope this game doesn't die fast.

Those modes are just not played by a lot of people and the ones who do play won't play them all the time.

Right now BLOPS3 has 47k players online on PC.

I think the community will be fine. Especially since we got dedicated servers and we get community run dedicated servers in March.

Haha thank you, the robots in Nuketown look a lot like the ones in I ROBOT , also they are very creepy if you ask me.

Like I said yesterday my team went on a 20 win streak the day before but last night my team could hardly get an streak going. I still believe CoD punishes you when your team is doing well.

What are the co-op advantages to playing realistic with partners? Do you heal a teammate when they're down? Are checkpoints different?

I'm only on the second mission on realistic and I think there's a reason why they allow 4-player co-op campaign now.

did they ever fix that in their past games after patches?

Im on the same boat, some people are just too damn good and know very well the maps now that I die at every corner, sometimes I respawn and some missiles are raining right there and die again.

Still fun tho and I dont care for k/d ratios, always negative myself, a normal match for me is something like 15/21

:(

I don't mind a negative k/d it's just a bummer dying every 5 seconds from every angle. Can't get any kinda flow going.

I think the coolest part about this Call of Judy is this is the first one that I can seriously remember where the netcode doesn't feel like bullshit. I rarley ever get kills that feel like bullshit. It's really, really refreshing. I don't mind getting killed everytime I move, but I hate when it feels like utter shite like every CoD nearly ever, especially at release.

Yes by at least 50%.

Ill be honest with you, as someone who hated Ghosts, and did not like AW; this game is very much back to basics, with some jet pack wall running nonsense.

Thanks for the info, and to the others who answered as well.

Would you (and others can answer as well) say I should pick it up? I thoroughly enjoyed the previous Black Ops iterations + MW2, and loved Destiny's pvp (which had a fair bit of the jet pack/double jump thing).

Yeah I'd say you like it. It's like a cross between Destiny and BO2. It's very good IMO. Strongest MP in the series.

Is there an easter egg for shooting the heads off all the manikins in Nuke Town really quickly like last time where it played the Eminem song?

How do they justify the SVG having a 4 second aim when every smg in the game kills you 4 times faster at 80 percent of the effective range by the time you get to aim?

So... these armored guys in the campaign. Do they HAVE a weakness? Right now they'reached my single biggest gripe.

Has Treyarch ever spoke about a mode where it was traditional MP but with zombies mixed in that go after everyone? Has this every been rumored? Just curious....

It's sad to see such great map design (for the most part) ruined by the movement system. Unlimited sprint, thrusting, wall running, and constant UAV spam, without a decent Ghost perk, creates chaos that makes map control very difficult. Then throw in all the specialist abilities too, which makes things even more chaotic. Even when I do really well on this game, I'm often not having that much fun. It's just pure chaos.

I feel like every game I have someone on my team going 1-20.

Every game.

Welcome to Black Ops. That was a big problem throughout the life of Blops 2. People just refuse to stop running into bullets.

I was hoping Treyarch would figure out a way to make the 1-20s hurt less. Oh well.

I'm the only one who dosn't found Gorgon OP?

ADS draw is slow and hip fire is a joke.

Looks more of a situational weapon or to be used as a semi sniper weapon on long clear lanes.

Maybe with a higher knowledge of maps it becomes better but right now I do much better with other weapons.

its very good medium to long range. definitely need to play a more controlled playstyle if your rock an lmg. you'll get melted easily by decent players if you're running around and have to ADS from sprint unless they have bad aim. i use stock and quick draw on mine and that helps a bit. also don't waste points on a scope because the iron sights are great.

the obvious downsides are reload speed and of course hipfire is atrocious. often can't kill someone at point blank range even though i see them first. i try and surround myself with equipment to keep mobile players from getting in too close where i'm at a disadvantage.

basically when i use it i play like i'm using a semi-auto ar to conserve ammo. i'll probably switch it out with the shiva once i unlock that tbh.

Pharo is fantastic but my go to is Kuda with extended mags, long barrel, quick draw and grip. Multi kills all day.

I don't like this futuristic crap. I wish they kept the story and gameplay where it was in blops 2. Nothing works well in this game imo

Im happy I did, I only play MP COD, so its fun, but I am just not a fan of the future warfare stuff.

Does anyone have some general tips for MP? I'm doing better now that I've settled into the Kuda/Sparrow combo but I just can't seem to stay alive. I always seem to be looking the wrong way or moving at the wrong time.

I'm not feeling what they did with Snipers in this game. No auto-aim is cool but puts them at a massive disadvantage where every map, with no exception, is designed for close encounters, not to mention specialist super abilities with excessive homing assist.

Was wondering this too. I've only had some luck with the firefly swarm and light arms.

None of the other abilities I've tried to use will target them, so they seem to be walking bullet sponges.

Anyone put any decent amount of time into Dead Ops Arcade 2?

It's pretty awesome, has the top down shooter elements of the first one, but it also has first person rounds, racing rounds, challenge rounds, secret areas. It's so much funner, I wish it was pure first person and not just with a pick up, but still pretty fun!

Pharo is a beast. Ever since I dropped the Kuda, I've been averaging 20+ kills a game and it helps to nullify the lag if you aren't host.
Maybe I'll warm up to it. Going for Diamond camo so I'll definitely be using it plenty. It fires like MSMC from Blops 2 with a 4 round burst, which I loved in Blops 2 but this one feels a bit weaker?

uavs are super easy to shoot down in this game with rockets. lmgs can also take them down quick. if at least one person on your team isn't shooting enemy air support down, make that part of your job. that problem is solved. i personally will die on purpose if i'm out of rocket rounds and don't have a streak built up so that i can respawn and help the team by taking out enemy air support.

I'm comically bad at this game. Currently rocking a 0.34 k/d. I'm to the point I don't even care anymore. I turn a corner, dead. I go through a door, dead. I jump, dead. I move, dead. lol, I haven't really even bothered to play unless my friends are on because its so deflating. Never been this bad at a CoD game before so I'm at a loss.

I felt this way at first, which is odd because in prior CODs I'm usually a 10:5 or even MVP 25 kills kind of guy.

I found it challenging to find my gun class and gun in this game, I'm finding it difficult to find the best special power and running on walls and stuff, much like rabbit hopping in the last game, is actually the make or break in a lot of battles. The amount of times I survive because I run on a wall and then do a behind-the-back melee or gravity spike kill is higher than I expected.

I didn't use it at all my first time through, but when I was messing around, using the rapid strike on him from the martial core tree would wreck him. Double clicking the melee does a combo thing and kncoks him out.

I played through on hardened properly but when I was doing this it was on normal (so I could use the melee tree basically) so that's the difficulty reference point, might not work on him at higher difficulty. ON my actual playthrough I used the stun ability from the control tree to stun him and blast away. Might be the earpiece pictured ability.

The martial abilities work pretty well. The speed boost combined with rapid strike drops him quick. It's bullshit that not all types of cybercore abilities are available all the time. Some parts of the campaign really suck if you chose wrong.

Benefit of a doubt and all, but they had ten fucking years of the same issues. I'm not even a sniper player and I'm annoyed at how badly they have treated marksman weapons since basically MW2.
