Call of Duty: Black Ops III |OT| No Content For Old Gen

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

I haven't done any research on the new zombies map so I was exploring it alone. Found some weird portal and went through, screamed my fucking head off when those floating demon witch things started coming at me.

I still have fucking PTSD from the Buried witches, this just spiked it back again. Oh god that was horrifying.

Grinding through these Kinect Armor kills with Battery to finish unlocking her customizations. It really makes me appreciate how good War Machine is.

That one took forever. The annoying thing is that I think you have to be getting shot to have it count. lol

I've been stuck on the final challenge. You have to have kinetic armor on an kill more than one enemy in a short period of time. Luckily you only have to do it twice.

No, Advanced Warfare was the worst of the series.
Only one scene in this is advanced warfare level bad.

can't comment on blops 3 campaign yet but i think people had mostly positive things to say about AW campaign

this seems relevant lol

I really find harder to run and gun in this game, i used to play handgun and knife or spatz on MW2 without problems, i think is the confusion that you might want to wall run and slide all the time but it's almost always better not to.

Not to mention some maps are way to small and open, i love the acuarium tho.

I try to use it but I just get slaughtered, someone earlier said it's the best in the game after I said it's the worst.

Tips?

It's a mix of say hide and go seek and run and gun really. I'm usually more run and gun but those corners you gotta watch. It's the perfect gotcha! moment and if you're lucky to have a couple more of them standing behind him, you can chain your melees together.

Edit: Watch one of my matches. It'll give you an idea what I'm talking about.

Is anyone else having issues with NAT types? I have always had Open with previous cods. Had open twice since launch, the rest have been moderate. Im hoping its an issue on their side. Also my port forwarding is setup correctly.

The Giant still awesome. This should've been included in the main game without the season pass. Got to Round 21 with a group of randoms.

I was having issues with that. Otherwise never had issues in any game ever, but I had to go to my router settings and open up a port to get it to work. I had no idea how, so for a bit I was kind of screwed.

Thankfully Kwansu Dudes was a true bro and helped me out. Now I never have issues.

The port is UDP 3074 if you know how to do that yourself. If not, you could try asking someone on here for help?

I've never been so lost in my life. I missed Advanced Warfare, but in the thread ranking COD campaigns I keep seeing Advanced Warfare extremely high or extremely low. What causes this crazy division?

Well the exo movement system was pretty polarizing when it came out because it moved away from the traditional CoD, corridor shooting mechanics to a more free-flowing experience kind of like Titanfall. I could see how people might not care for that even though I loved it.

As for the campaign itself, it had good characters, an interesting (I thought) plot, and some excellent set pieces.

Try to go behind people, on their spawn. Two kills is already 300 points. His specialist weapon is the one that fills up the fastest. So you will get it multiple times, so don't be afraid of using it. Know that you have quite the range, so you don't have to be that close. If you die, it will stay where it left off.

The strategy is to try to start behind them

At 6:45 how did you use it without toggling it first? I play the same really so I'll keep giving it try, but right now I'm hating it.

Thanks. I did notice it regenerates way faster than any other ability.

Honestly, the high caliber perk is pretty much bullshit. So often, someone gets a headshot as a result of a combination of the flinch mechanic from BEING shot, combined with the large amount of aim assist present in COD games. It's a bullshit attachment, in my opinion.

The maps may have something to do with it, but I think it's more likely the fast ability to get all over the map so fast due to the movement system. It's garbage. I despised advanced warfare, and while this is better, it's still not great.

People have complained about spawns in cod for years. Around MW3, developers started seemingly making the maps maze like, with a ton of entrances and routes everywhere, because people would whine about "campers" or people controlling choke points and power positions on the map, even though there were always ways to deal with those players. They seem to cater to the spastic sprinting style of play so much now, and the movement system/unlimited sprint along with UAV spam makes it even worse.

The problem I have with spawns is the gamemodes in which they arbitrarily seem to swap based on the game detecting that too many enemies are in the other team's spawn area. This is what ruins the flow of the maps. For the most part they are designed around A and C being on opposite ends with a central line of battle around B, but as soon as they start to shift toward the middle or fully flip, everything goes to shit. Players end up spawning where enemies are. You end up spawning with enemies behind you. The flow of the battle gets entirely fucked up.

It's why I VASTLY prefer modes like demolition, uplink and safeguard where spawns do not swap. If you get shot in the back by an enemy in those gamemodes, you know its because they maneuvered themselves into a position where they could shoot you in the back. When I get shot in the back in TDM or domination, it's frustrating because they spawned in a weird spot. Or on the flip side, I spawned in a stupid place where I was behind an enemy and got to shoot them in the back. The spawn ends up feeling like the most important aspect of the game because COD is primarily a game of positioning and awareness, and when you spawn unaware of your location or surroundings and in a position where some dude is behind you, you're just fucked.

I understand that the shifting spawns are an effort at reducing spawncamping, but they don't work. If a team is getting consistently spawn camped, it's because they are vastly outskilled and outplayed by the other team, and that's going to happen endlessly no matter how much the spawns get switched. Switching the spawns because one player ran into the enemy spawn just frustrates everybody in an otherwise perfectly balanced match. The painkiller deathstreak was a better counter to spawn camping that the stupid overly sensitive spawn switching.

I'm right with you. I hate when I die from someone spawning behind me...I feel like I'm being punished for spawn camping that I wasn't taking part in. I was just trying to maneuver behind enemy position.

I play domination almost exclusively, because I love the mode, and also because, while still a chaotic game, the spawns and flow are more directed and controlled towards particular points. But in this game, spawns constantly swap, and points are constantly taken. It can be fun in a way...but also frustrating.

I'm used to the COD story being a dumb convoluted mess but this was something else.

I JUST finished the last Kinect Armor challenge. Wasn't too bad. Some games in Nuketown helped, lol.

That's 2 specialists down. Working on Outrider now.

I don't know where to post this, whenever I go down on the BO3 game tile on the PlayStation dash, a Twitch video starts playing automatically.......Is there anyway to turn that shit off? It's fucking annoying

Amazing considering the first two have the best stories in the series. It was a mistake to move further into the future. They should've continued from the end of Blops 2.

I like the triangular layout maps a lot more for domination. The flow doesn't feel like it gets jacked up when the spawns swap. It feels more natural for the spawns to move in those maps. The linear maps get way too chaotic when the spawns swap constantly, especially the small ones.

I feel like the image is a bit soft sometimes.

Hmmm, after telling myself I will just play MP and never finish SP posts like these actually make me curious. As in I want to see how bad it is and if it is so bad it becomes good (for context I have watched 'The Room' 3 times).

The game uses a TAA method that's a bit blurry but good at cleaning up edges.

I had a lot of fun with how ridiculous it gets. I was laughing at it most of the time but still enjoyable. The missions in the second half also play a lot better. The first half is pretty bad though.

Damn it! Now I need to invest some more time into it just for curiosity's sake.
Also playing SP unlock camos for MP right? I'll just tell myself that when the going gets tough.

Which maps are you referring to specifically?

Specialist progress will remain when you prestige right?

Yes, it should. When you're about to prestige, it says, "You will keep all progress made towards weapon levels, challenges and customizations.

I just used a token on Seraph to make sure everything I unlocked before I prestiged is still there and yea, they're all there.

Man multi seems like a bit of a grind. Level 30 after about 8 hours of playing - mostly Kill-Confirmed.

Hard point was one of my favorite modes in previous games, but I hate it in this... Hard points seem way too large, the marks of the hard point edges are so hard to see too!

I am really loving this - a lot of my friends have soured on the series after 7 years of annual releases, so I'm going to have to work hard to convince them!

exactly how much do you love Kevin Spacey? I think that plays a big part. I'm not a fan and Advanced Warfare was mediocre. Been playing BLOPS 3 with the roommate and I'll say that coop makes it one of the more enjoyable call of duty campaigns.

This game has issues. I just played at least half of a domination game in a 3 on 6. I was one of the players on the team of three. Never got filled back up. I'm also pretty sure I played a game where a team had 7 players on a team, and in a mode that's supposed to max out at 6 players per team.
