If so, try and play online. If you receive a message saying something about your NAT (I do), it's your fault and not the game's.

Uhmm.. I guess you already went to the NAT site on infinity ward's website, right? http://www.infinityward.com/nat.phpjunkster said:I don't have it. My PS3 is set to DMZ
Log into your router and turn on UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), most routers have this option in the Administration tab.
The goal is to have an OPEN NAT in order to host Spec Ops games and get a wider selection of MP matches to join.
Also ensure that under your security options that Anonymous NAT Redirection is allowed and is not filtered. This may also be referred to as 'Filter InternetNAT Redirection' - in which case you want this disabled.
For more information on enabling UPnP on your router, visit your router manufacturer's website. A few of the most popular router web sites are listed below:

Thank you for help but I'm DMZ. I want it DMZ. I want it Open. Don't give a shit if it's in my head. My games are smoother and I get into games faster.Mik2121 said:Uhmm.. I guess you already went to the NAT site on infinity ward's website, right? http://www.infinityward.com/nat.php
Have you tried playing the game even with NAT set to strict? I have my NAT set to strict and can't change the settings here (not on my house!), but it works smoothly. I get the warning message, but it's not affecting me at all.
I think it takes some time otherwise you can hit up support on Twitter and they are good about looking into it.Alienshogun said:You need to prestige first, then you can use those tokens to unlock stuff for future prestiges. I plan to use my 3 to unlock my favorite weapon and my two favorite perks.
Edit: Side note. I prestiged in COD4 last night, played a game, and it's still now showing in MW3, anyone know what that's about?
DMZ can be very flakey on some outers. Setting my 360 to DMZ used to cause it to drop downloads.junkster said:Thank you for help but I'm DMZ. I want it DMZ. I want it Open. Don't give a shit if it's in my head. My games are smoother and I get into games faster.
I want them to fix this. It's basic functionality and it doesn't fucking work.
EDIT: And now it magically fixed itself back to open.
Where does it say founder at? I only see Premium on mine, but I unlocked both titles and emblems as well.Alienshogun said:Edit: Yep, I'm right. It shows founders status for me on elite now.

Not sure about pro perks, but I unlocked the silent walking when I hit it, even though I'm not of level to even select it.X-Frame said:When you unlock the 7-8 kills for the Specialist Bonus, does it include Pro perks you haven't earned yet?
I got double XP, the emblem package, an extra class and unlocked tactical insertion (as it's barely possible to win Demolition without it on some of these maps). Will probably just spend the rest I get on class slots and the other two emblem packages since I just get bored playing with one weapon all the time anyway.LetsGoKiting said:What have you guys used your prestige tokens on? Mik2121 said:Funny enough, others say that the snipers are the most overpowered, others say the Type 95, and others say the ACR. With so many "overpowered" weapons, you'd think they are all on the same level, and in the end none is really so overpowered.

ACR in MW2 is still better though.
On next... AK-47. Fuck Yeah.

What? Today is Sunday and the game released on Thursday. Plus, the first weekend after release is usually the busiest one, so hopefully they get it to work by this next weekend...legacyzero said:Seriously, Activision. Fix your fucking Elite service already! It's been a week now.

A couple of things to try.Kronotech said:Had some bad and some good matches last night. I'm a horrible MP player overall (3rd match I played I went 3-20) but I'm having fun. Last night came in 2nd after an intense back and forth with #1! Go me.
Any tips for someone whose accuracy is in dire need of juice? Several times I'll be toe to toe with someone and my gun will go spraying all around like a scene from a movie where the idiot hero with a gun shoots everywhere but the target. I know it's nerves - can't pull off the needed kill in a pinch - but overall I could use some accuracy boost.
I'm using the Scar-L. Looks like the silencer is horrible for someone in my position.
That's where I need it lol. I need to link my Youtube account with the theater. Unless you can do that on the Console version?? Can you even watch your theater vids on the Console app??Jrmint said:It works pretty well on the console now, just not on the website.

The people I'm playing online are generally really rather good, I imagine they have played every installment relentlessly.
Nevermind, it's fun anyway, and without a skillbased match making it won't be any other way ever.

Who cares about your KD ratio? It's more of an indicator of how skilled you were when you started playing. If you're actively trying to learn and improve, you will get better, as will your KDR. How you perform in the moment-to-moment of any given game is more important.Chittagong said:Haha, I think I have dug myself into a hole so deep I will never have a positive KD ratio.

Best tip I can give is to slow down your game a bit. Let people sprint into you, as opposed to sprinting right into their sights. Keep moving constantly, but avoid using sprint unless you need to get to an objective SUPER FAST, are running away from grenades, or are trying to take cover from killstreaks because you don't have the means/perks to deal with them.Chittagong said:Yeah, I am still having tons of fun and improving for sure. I always suck at these games at first because I don't play them year-round like the majority of people online seem to (played MW2 for about five months consistently, Black Ops for three). It takes a while for the muscle memory with aiming and stuff to kick back in, but for me, half the fun is getting better.Chittagong said:Yeah, I am still having tons of fun and improving for sure. it's a thousand times better than black ops and it's still relatively early. I loved me some Black Ops but the net code was TURRRRRIBLE.M.D said:So how is the PS3 version so far? Exactly. Another thing about KDR fiends is that they're so worried about it that losing is made that much more painful. You're going to have the occasional game where you get your dick stomped in no matter how good you are -- there's always someone better. Accepting this sooner means you can start to learn from losses in order to get better faster.Dabanton said:Seriously since a CS:S KDR obsession a few years. Did not think about this but will definitely try it out today!soultron said:A couple of things to try.
Start shooting before you go ADS. You can shoot and activate ADS at the same time, so don't be afraid to squeeze a few bullets out while you're trying to acquire your target.
Yeah I think this is one of my main problems, relying soley on ADS.Also, when you're within close range, resist the hesitation to go into ADS. Your ADS targeting speed seems to be lower than your non-ADS sensitivity, and you need that cursor speed when targets are closing in on you. Just shoot and use the onscreen cursor. It will literally save your life more often than not. Use ADS in medium- to long-range situations.
Great tips. I'll definitely employ this as well. Thanks!Don't use a silencer if you plan on doing a lot of long-range shooting. The damage drop off at range (with a silencer) means you need to be very accurate in order to land the required amount of bullets. Silencers are great on SMGs if you plan on rushing behind enemy lines and don't want to be detected when you go on rampages. Be sure that your perks keep you hidden too, or a silencer isn't worth much.
Beyond that, the Kick proficiency always seems to help. When at long-range, use bursts. In short range, just hammer down on the trigger if you feel you need to. Remember that you have a secondary when you're out of bullets in your magazine in your main gun, however, so make use of it. It's not worth trying to reload under fire -- it takes less time to switch to your secondary. If they're dumb enough to try to reload, you can capitalize on their vulnerability with your secondary.
That's actually where I'm at now. I always seem to start off low, hopefully will be able to work my way up though.celestial body said:Kronotech what's your sensitivity? I see a lot of people run a higher sensitivity than they can handle, it's great spinning around fast 'n all but if you can't hit the fucker there's not much point.
Try at 2-3 see if your accuracy improves.
Yep but I rarely go 18-3...Brian Fellows said:The extreme highs and lows are what make the game so addicting to me.
Though I don't give a shit about losses. If I go 18-3 and my team loses I don't care at all.
