This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Does anyone else feel like the matches in this game really fly by? I'm guessing it's the smaller maps plus the fucked up spawns resulting in more kills in less time. Not sure if I like it or not.

Not sure either. Spawning and getting shot immeditately drives me crazy.

This is seriously the best COD since MW2 imo. Yeah, the maps can be pretty shitty, but I just skirt around the perimeter of them anyway unless I'm playing DOM.


I honestly love the hell out of domination in COD, it's awesome.

I like Black Ops. I do. But this is insane.

I hate MW2 with a PASSION. But this game takes the best of both BLOPS and COD4, like they had a baby.

playing private match "one in a chamber" with your buddies is probably the best mp experience i've had since socom 2.

Seems a bit broken because you can still get shot in the feet even when you're crouched. They need to fix that before RSs become a valuable tool again. In MW2 you couldn't get shot in the feet when you were crouched, IIRC. Maybe it was a purposeful decision?

Aside from that, just remember that your sides are exposed. The easiest way to kill a RS user is always to deke around them by circle strafing, so mind your sides and enemy movement in relation to your weak areas. RSs work well in confined areas or alley ways where you can't get flanked.

Don't even bother with them. The long sightlines, lack of lightweight, rapidly changing spawns, and Scavenger not refilling anything makes them worthless. Winning a 1v1 is a feat of epic proportions, nevermind with this worthless spawn system and health.

I had 4 Riot shield classes for S&D in MW2. I used them extensively.

I really miss the gun customization from Blops. I didn't play the game all that much, but I figured that would become a standard in the series.

There are people with those controller button symbols in their clan tags in literally every game. I don't know why I find this annoying, but I do. I guess I'm just a cranky old bastard who hates everything.

Private match - Infected (Mike Myres) with riot shields for survivors and tac knife pistol for Myres = Soo goood.
Also, Free for all with all juggernauts is so damn funny.

Okay, what's going on here. I'm trying to play Special Ops missions under the "Solo Play" option. The missions load, then crash out with an error message "...servers are unavailable. Please check status at www.callofduty.com/mw3/status...". Am I the only getting this issue? Why would server status have anything to do with solo play?

Really digging the game! Played for like 8 hours straight and had a blast. Actually starting to dig some of the maps now that I somewhat know my way around.

I actually see stealth bombers on the map now. Enemy ones I mean.

And I've calmed down from yesterday's rage fest and got a couple good matches in me like a 20-3 and a 15-3 matches. I also got a message saying the servers are down and I took that as a sign to not push my luck and I'm taking a break now.

Man.. the FAD is hands-down the best assault rifle in the game, almost non-existant recoil, fast rate of fire and a larger magazine (I think?) it wrecks everyone at medium to long range fights. Sucks that it had to be a level 78 unlock, I had to use my token for gear unlock to keep it instead of the p90.

And have hackers started appearing on the PC version? I was playing yesterday and there was a guy who was tracing my team mates through walls and snapping to people's bodies without over-shooting or under-shooting straight to everyone's bodies. Funny how he didn't go 25-0 though.. why don't hackers just go all out if they're going to do it anyway?

Anything else change? I would love it if there was a way to turn off all the clutter on the map. So many campers.

Isn't the opposite true? Like if you're doing a lot of long-range shooting then doesn't the silencer not change the number of shots you need to land?

The impression that I had was that if gun X does 40 damage close up, and drops to 30 damage at say 10 meters, adding a silencer would only change where the damage drop occurs (say at 5 meters instead of 10). So if you're doing long range shooting, with or without a silencer gun X will be doing 30 damage a hit.

Or I may be completely off-base. I was under the impression this is how it worked in MW2 at least.

I recommend going Hardline instead of Assassin and running Specialist kill streaks. Put Assassin as your first perk and then in one flag cap or kill you'll have four perks.

But yea that setup is amazing. When I play any other setup now I just feel weaker by default.

Man I went back to BF3 today and the difference is framerate is jarring. Hit markers and feedback are quite different as well

I've been running with this and I've absolutely been owning everybody with this set-up.

Steady Aim is REALLY good in this game. I use my Type 95 as a CQC weapon, because with Rapid Fire and Steady Aim I don't even have to aim when I rush around corners. People fall like flies.

Well that's more ideal for Support or Assault. But yes, for Specialist...

Same gun setup.

Extreme Conditioning
Hardline
Steady Aim

Have Slight of Hand as the first, Assassin as the second, and Dead Silence as the third choice (unless you don't have that, then I'd go with Sitrep).
