super excited. I think Activision is really doing a superb, exceptional job in productizing the community and DLC content (now if they only did as good in the R&D and operations of it...).

does anyone know how the logistics of this work for Elite subscribers on 360? Will be items on Xbox Live Marketplace with a price of £00.00, will the downloads come through the Elite app, just appear as a MW3 patch... or what?

Don't know, but if it's anything like the Gears 3 Season Pass, it'll suck. With Gears 3, you have to download through the game, and it has to be through a specific area. If you pull up DLC in one sub-menu, it charges you for it, but if you pull it up in the other, it shows as free. This also means the individual DLCs aren't tied to your account, just the Season Pass is.

In short, I hope MW3 is the opposite of Gears 3 in this respect, but I'm expecting the worst.

I like the look of Liberation, nice and open; hopefully it's not too big though. Piazza though....... I just don't want another multi-tiered, maze-like map to play on.

Just finished the single player today. Obviously with Call of Duty you have to take it for what it is, but I thought it was pretty good. It was the first one since probably COD4 I didn't regret playing on Veteran, since I've now beat every COD game on Veteran and most of them end up obscenely frustrating at various points.

On to multiplayer.

Agreed on pretty much everything. I'd give Rapid Fire a mention though. It honestly feels like cheating when paired with Steady Aim.

Definately this. I've always used Rapid Fire but gave up Range for Silencer. I use Specialist so look at using a proficiency (range) on the gun as a waste since I still find it effective without any and then once i hit 'Specialist Unlocked' it's an absolutely beast.

The only map i can't use the PP90M1 on is Interchange and from the looks of it the new park map 'Liberation'.

Alright, I went ahead and did my first 2 commentaries and decided to upload them ( recorded at different times, but I uploaded them together) and I'm not sure how I feel about the commentaries, I sound a little...... tentative at times. It's a little wierd talking to yourself in a room about a game tbh and it still doesn't feel natural, though I suppose that's something that will come with repitition. I'd really, really like feedback on the videos as I feel like there is a bit for me to work on, and be honest please.

The first commentary is a video I go 59-2 on in Killconfirmed. MOAB running assault

Second video is a 41-2 TDM MOAB running specialist

Just wrapped up about 20 minutes ago. Finished in 6 hours and 8 minutes on Hardened. Liked it better than MW2's campaign. Thanks to anyone who stopped by.

It almost looks as if the entire opposing team were snipers

most of them were. Honestly though I rather have been up against a team full of assault rifle users; Knowing there were so many people using sniper rifles just made moving around the map a nerve-wrecking experience, it just feels like people don't miss with a sniper rifle.

Starting up some of the weapon breakdown vids again, PP90m1 breakdown

Just got gold camo for this gun and run almost exactly what you said. Sleight of hand, assassin, steady aim, and range, but rapid fire instead of extended mags. FMGs as secondary and flip that up instead of reloading if I know enemies are still hanging around the area. Do usually end up having to pick up a gun if I survive 8-9 kills though. I think its a real beast on Dome too.

I haven't had a lot of time to play MW3, but in the short amount of time I did play I did notice how small the maps were (I saw the complaints when the game came out, but wasn't able to play until late December).

What are the best/biggest maps for the time being?

The best maps are Dome (sorry newmie), Hardhat, Underground, Village, Lockdown, Arkaden, and Bootleg. Only Village is big.

Lmao good god it IS soothing. Cup of tea, classical music and computers putin commentary would put me to sleep. Are you always that relaxed sounding?

I love tossing a bouncing betty onto an unsuspecting enemy on the second floor, running away, and hearing an explosion soon after. So satisfying.

Did anyone purchase the MW3 controller for the 360? Any impressions?

It's nice. Better than the Gears 3 one from what I hear, which had a glossy, smooth finish. It's not amazing or anything, but it looks good, and the transforming D-pad is pretty sweet. I've seen it on sale a few times for $40 from Amazon or Buy.com.

Yeah I am actually lol. I'm extremely polite and even tempered most of the time in public and I can't really shake it, even for a commentary. Thing is, I don't know if soothing is a good thing for a commentary.....

How in the hell do you find yourself that lucky? Haha, that team was fucking terrible (in the 2nd video). I never run into teams that bad. My longest kill streak is only 13, so I have no chance of ever getting a MOAB. Even your own team was terrible, as they weren't killing anyone so you were able to get up to 24 kills. I'm not discrediting your skills btw, you played a very smart game. I only play Team Deathmatch and have over 6 days of online time, but have yet to ever get into a game where I'm just on fire and can stay alive for more than 13 kills, mostly due to the revenge spawns. I run around the outskirts of the map exclusively, so I get punished for being too good at flanking. I can't force myself to stay in one spot and let them come to me. I hate camping.

The spawn system still sucks, are they even planning to fix it?

It's been over two months since release and they only plan to release only 2 maps by the end of this month? Didn't they say that we will get DLC content every month right?

You can't fix the spawns on these maps. Seriously, it is literally impossible to have a decent spawn system on at least half of these maps even with more spawn-friendly gametypes like TDM. Only maps that have the potential for decent spawns (for 6 v 6) are:

- Bakaara
- Resistance (maybe not)
- Bootleg
- Downturn (everyone loves to hate on the map, but I have never been spawn-killed or reverse-spawn-killed on that map)
- Underground
- Outpost
- Fallen

Everything else is reminiscent of Showdown and Nuketown in terms of shitty map design.

It's funny how we expect people to sound a certain way. Good video.

Normally don't watch any gameplays, but for whatever reason I did. Good video, gameplay, commentary.

I appreciate the comments. It really, really means alot to hear I did a decent job on the videos. I'm curious to know how you guys expected me to sound though lol.

They were awful man, I agree( and there was still a couple of times in that video were I was close to being sniped and killed! ). That just goes to show you part of getting a MOAB is luck; you need a whole lot of things to line up just right for you in order to get a killstreak that long going and even with luck on your side, it's not easy to do; I've been buzzkilled 1 or 2 off a MOAB way more times than I've actually gotten one. Even if the other team is bad, all it takes is a lucky spawn to end it all, and knowing that makes going for one such a tense moment. But yeah, I got a bit lucky in the vid, I will not deny that at all.

You have spoken a few times about your high K/D and I just assumed you would sound more...arrogant? That's the trouble with the internet; it is too easy to ascribe perceived traits to someone's personality.

Well I suppose I can't blame you for thinking that. But honestly I don't hold K/D ratio's in a high esteem and I know there are better players out there than me with that hold lower K/D. I try to keep things in a proper perspective and I know K/D doesn't mean much( even if given context), and I know my stats don't make my play style any more valid than anybody else's. Being good at a game, or anything else, doesn't give me the right to be arrogant about anything and whenever I list off stats it's all in fun; it is just a game after all.

I'm not too familiar with all the maps, but if they had a system where you spawned at the farthest point from all the enemies at a given moment - wouldn't that solve the issue? I guess it's easier said than done, but I'm just thinking out loud.

Edit: As it is now, I feel like I'm spawning - literally - in front of enemies. In my mind, my ideal spawn system would take a look at enemy locations, aggregate the farthest position from all of them while still taking into consideration my teammates (so I'd spawn near a teammate who was the furthest from all the enemies).

Right. But I am an Elite subscriber.
I would prefer having a longer wait in between the maps and get more at once than having them handed out in smaller batches more frequently. But that isn't the way they are going to do it, so I cannot complain really.
Why would you prefer that?

they dont, the game compensates them with a bigger hit marker. I have used sniper rifles and missed many times only to get the one shot kill. I hate snipers in COD, they compensate them way to much.

I got it since I needed a new controller at the time it happened to come out, the sticks are not the same as the regular xbox controllers. They are indented. TBH I like it more then the regular controller that comes with the xbox.

All the CoDs and Halos work with a system where there are specific spawn points programmed. Distance would sound okay, except that distance barely helps when the enemy team is evenly spread throughout a map like Dome and you also get the issue of the furthest spot being a spot that leads you face an enemy as you spawn or an enemy seeing you spawn.

And that's just talking about TDM. It gets worse with modes that have other priorities factored in. Which is why you see spawn trapping almost always happening in either domination or demolition. Those two modes are broken on maps like Dome, Mission, and Lockdown.
