Was thinking exactly this... This I don't understand decisions of Microsoft and it seems they keep surprising me... And not in a good way. :(

Well this is still a good news after all. But I see people on X saying "AWESOME, I'll play my first COD campaign ever"... stupid to start with the 3rd...

I miss when MS made decisions also based on... I dunno how to say, "gaming spirit" ? I mean Sony, Nintendo etc are all here to make money of course but... It's like releasing a good hardcore gamer game in the middle of 2 GaaS games... it's better. But it looks like since many years MS take all their decisions only for money. Since the announcement of Backward compatibility on the One, MS never made me excited anymore. Well the fact that backcompat was the biggest announcement that MS made, for me, since a decade, means a lot I guess. :(

Its the current one with active seasons, skins and battle passes. Nobody in their right mind plays COD for the story. Makes perfect sense.

HELLOOOO!!!!! been playing this one for the past goddamn year already. Where's infinite warfare? that one was a sleeper hit that I need to finish, also need to finish Ghosts too, kinda liked the lonewolf style campaign and the invasion mode.

I am guessing because the old call of duty games needs to be ported to the xbox store first at windows before they release them on PC.

i do not think they are in the Xbox store on PC, are they?

The great thing about the last few version of the game is the SBMM will have you in pretty equally skilled lobbies after it gets a snapshot of your skill in about 10 games.

In other words hang in there awhile and don't try super hard early on

Side note to get some extra XP and level a little faster run decoy grenades and throw them everywhere whenever you unlock them

You can't very well play online multiplayer without Gold.
Gamepass standard + Gold = Ultimate.

Not many people out there that are interested in online multiplayer and only subscribed to GP Standard.

I know that and yes it makes sense for the online modes, but for those who wanna play the campains it is dumb.
If they can release BO6 on day one, if they can release MW3 (which is the current active one, as you say), they can release MW1 and MW2... I feel it is just they don't think about it for now.

What I mean is, for me, it again feels like there are no gamers in control, all are business men only. And sure business is important but we all (I think) loved the "gamer mood" of the OG Xbox and 360, with Jay Allard, Ed Fries, etc.

I get what you are saying and yes i would love for those days to come back as well but from a business perspective that doesn't make much sense. Most people don't play COD for the (lets be honest) mostly forgettable campaigns.

If anything i'd expect the Black op's games next, but that would pull players away from the active season so I can't see them doing that either.

Can't wait to load all my toxic meta builds out to shit on the gp players tomorrow. Yea yea sbmm but if you play later at night you sometimes get newbies because the pool of people are lower either that or you get thrown into a Brazilian server with 200 ping
