Yeah, I only played on launch day, seems like they have improved the matchmaking already. I played a couple of rounds yesterday evening and everything was smooth as butter, matchmaking done within 5 to 10 secs, 10 secs pre-game lobby and its go time. Wonderful, game is awesome! MW made a turn around from being utter shit at launch to being decent with the new maps and guns and adjustments to the gameplay and now is downright on of the best console shooters of 2019. I hope the general audience will give cod another shot AND I hope activision is wise enough not to kill MW in november by releasing yet another new cod.
btw: could we merge the two MW threads into one? It's a little confusing. I guess we could discuss all aspects of the game in just one thread.

I think thy didnt add it bcus thy want blackout to also live on and generate money so if ppl really like this thyll play both because blackout is the only one with solo.
BTW got my first win today after my teammate got killed towards the end and I got revenge and then I went on to kill the last player. It felt reallyyyyy goodddd.
I would say the complete opposite, Blackout is the one they would ideally want to eventually kill off, to my knowledge it’s not cross play and is still behind a purchase of BO4, whereas Warzone is F2P and is a stand-alone application outside of MW.

I think and hope solos will come soon. I guess the reason the didn't include it from the start was, that they didn't want to fragment the playerbase and also collect more technical information on how well the mode actually runs. It's still a beta after all

One theory is that they were pressured to release what they had once the leaks started dropping and the only two modes they knew worked well (or the ones they worked on the most) were trios and plunder.
So they just rolled with those two and released the game. Makes sense since there was zero build up to its release which makes me think they put all their energy into releasing the game mode.
I think they’ll add solos and duos soon enough
I think it was that they didn’t have time to add the other modes especially once the leaks started. The time crunch is why I think Treyarch didn’t do a campaign. They knew they would need the extra time.

Kill off is a strong statement. Although of course thy would want greater focus on this new BR they know that their MP games at least on consoles live for years and years regardless of the new version being released. I remember few years ago hundredes of thousands were still playing original black ops mp and other versions. If they can get one person to still invest in both BR why kill one off? I'm a good example o play both BR because of solos and thy are just diff flavors and I still buy cosmetics in blackout and bought battle pass for modern warfare.
They imo arent trying to kill anything off but trying to sustain both and give ppl a reason to play both.

Just realized last night why I couldnt add people for friends especially if thjey are on another console/pc. You have to search the whole screename with the number attached to it not just the name because otherwise it will say its unable to find the player. im pretty impressed by warzone, it runs alright on PS4 and the design of the map and mechanics it's very on point.
The game it's tailored to make players haver their own little narratives each match and encounters can take a long time with the heals, respawns and everything else.

It's interesting how reality doesn't match the imagination.
I longed for a more realistic setting after Blackout. But the truth is, the denser building & interiors, the less fanciful colorful setting makes the locals less memorable and bland. Less, i dunno...fun?
Game is still fantastic because of the COD / BR formula, but interesting internal observation nevertheless.

Yeah, I've only played a few rounds. It feels pretty good. Maybe I'll play more, maybe I won't. Not that sure yet.
But it's so boring to watch other people play. I could watch good players play Blackout and it was entertaining. This just feels so bland.

Blackout definitely had more layers of depth. The looting, the gunsmithing, the different perks, etc.
It is a shame they simplified MW to a whole new simple.

Im sure its gonna look more vibrant in the next season. Kind of like what Blackout did...as the season changed in real life so did it in game. So now Warzone looks a bit washed out, gloomy and gray but probably spring update will make it flashier.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this map won’t change at all. It’s not so much drab as it is realistic. The graphics are perfect in my opinion. Blackout and Black Ops 4 in general still had that cartoony futuristic look to it to begin with.
Right now they need to make some real changes to the respawn system and looting. Specifically the custom loadouts are ridiculous. It makes looting for weapons so pointless.

Why is quick-scoping still a thing after all these years? Why? Zero realism in it. And honestly, you can still get plenty of kills hardscoping. You just won't be at the top of the kills list. But, that's not... you know... the point of a fucking sniper class.
