Dead Space, when it was released, was one of the best games i ever played. The atmosphere, the enemies, the horror, the space terror... it had everything going for it

Uh-hhmmm… I see, radical changes, barely unplayable…
what should we call me jim carrey GIF

No one said it was unplayable because of those changes, but if you've played the original dozens of times like I have, yeah, they do come off as pretty wild, obvious and distracting.

Fair. Liked the saga but it's locked for me in my PS3 catalog. I'll eventually play the remake (this thread is pushing me to, actually).

Because it is still vastly superior to the AAAA turd that is callisto 🥲
Callisto has originality compared to Cronos. It's like Bloober plays their favorite game and are like "Let's add this". Lets add that. Let's make it like this game. Lets make it like that game". Slop.

Temu dead space is what you call originality?

Having a shit melee combat is not what i consider originality, just trying to be different with a disastrous end results.

Cronos at least has the original socialist polish location and time travelling fuckery, the charged shots being the only useful ones is more of a novelty than callisto shit melee system because they also actually work, i don't remember any other survival horror where charged shot were a thing or THIS important like in cronos where you basically waste ammo by not charging.

None of the 2 is gonna win an originality contest, i can give you that but cronos feels a bit more fresh.

Cronos is not fresh when you copy Dead Space, RE and SH. Callisto director has every reason to continue with his original idea.

Dude callisto try to be dead space with all its might, what are you talking about?

Leave aside the melee combat because they can't clearly copy everything to not be accused of plagiarism but everything else is super similar, just way lower quality.

Callist didn't felt more fresh than cronos in the slightest, the big difference (the combat) ended up being one of their big biggest weak point, not something i'm gonna praise just because it is different.

Cronos is miles better than Callisto but my issue with Cronos is as much as it barrows elements from Dead Space and RE2R it also felt so underwhelming compare to them.

The enemy/boss design in Cronos is suck ass both design and animation, nothing about them is scary or even creepy. My second issue this game almost no gore, you see blood in environments and corpses of normal people but during fight it strangely no blood or proper gore as if devs devs were scared make the game too gory.

Cronos is decent game but I don't think it's as great as people make it out to be.
