A completely CG version of Gally/Alita? That is going to be incredible! This movie is on the top of my most anticipated feature films.

Cameron's track record is astounding, IMO. As long as he gets the right team together, this should be amazing. I really don't care if it makes munnie or not, I just want to see something diff'rent.

I've never seen Titanic (I have a penis + no girlfriend), so everything that he has done that I have seen, I have loved. Total faith.

Really this is one those manga I grew up reading, I dont want to see it completely mangled on the big screen.

We couldn't have hoped for a more capable and passionate director to helm Battle Angel. Honestly, this man knows his anime, and has influenced a lot of it (Terminator).

Apparently, Cameron views Battle Angel as a franchise - meaning that he plans to do more than one movie. He said that he'd like to explore as much as possible in the world of Battle Angel, so it makes sense to start at the beginning. We'll get to books 4-5-6 eventually. ^_^

For every good sounding thing he spews about the movie or the manga, there's still the fact that he's going with the horrible rename of the main character. How does a man who cares so much about the original work make that decision? That alone makes me worry, well that and the blue blood.

I'm not filing this project under "hate" with the live action Akira yet, but I'm not going to be very hopeful about a good adaptation until I see something with a little more substance than him regurgitating a very basic plot outline of the first 4 pages.

The one thing that does make me a tiny bit hopeful for the project actually has nothing to do with Cameron, but with Kishiro himself. I've read that he HATED the anime and wouldn't let any more be made or any of his other titles. So he must have some hope for this project. Either that or they paid him more than he could refuse.
