Can I use Dualsense as wireless on PC?

I want to get this controller, but when I look at Steam's Assassin's Creed Mirage for example, both Dualsense and Dualshock are listed as USB only. Why is it limited to this?

Yeah. I've had a more seamless experience with xbox controllers though. As a lot of games will still have xbox controller prompts. There are mods that can change that though. But ive just ended up falling back to zbox controller just for ease of use/compatibility. Though I haven't tried again in a while.

You can play it wireless, but you don't get haptics and adaptive triggers. So wired via Steam's controller API is the best solution.
Sony should release a PC adapter and driver already, I can only assume they haven't done so because there's a risk of opening up the PS5 for exploits.

I only had experience with DS4 and Xbox gamepads works a lot better with no hassle than Sony stuff with PC.
Maybe things have changed but even with the help of Steam settings I always had to troubleshoot a bit. DS4Windows also wasn't fullproof.

I see. I don't know why it's USB only on Steam then. I use Steam Link on Apple TV a lot, so it doesn't support wired there.

It's not USB only on Steam.

It will detect the controller the moment you connect it via Bluetooth.

Yeah it works pretty well wirelessly, just works more like Duelshock4 than a duelsense with regards to the haptic stuff.
Still get gyro the trackpad and standard rumble.

It works wirelessly on most titles as others have said. But, you usually have to disable Steam Input for the specific game and use USB for haptic support. If you let Steam Input wrapper it most of the time the nice features don't work.

I had nothing but trouble using my Dualsense on PC wireless. No input when pressing buttons, and the sticks acting like they had drift.I bought the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C after the sending the regular ultimate back, and it's so much better on 2.4ghz

I haven't played a single game on my pc with a mouse and keyboard. I've used a DS4 and Dualsense for 3 years.

Works great for everything I play. Plus with gyro and can play something like Doom and still be able to aim with precision. Something like Planet Coaster I'd use a mouse and keyboard though.

Some games say they are not supported but most games run a generic gamepad layout anyways so steam can easily translate it. The thing you might get is xbox button prompts so you have to adjust to that.

edit: some people seem to struggle with the Dualsense in this thread. Try updating the controllers. Sony has some type of driver for the Dualsense that you should install if you want it to work properly.

It works flawless on Linux. As other said adaptive triggers work in wireless most if not all the time (never failed for me). Haptics are USB only atm.

I always use xbox controllers but do games like silent hill 2 use adaptive triggers if I use USB then?
Yes they do. I think it has to be connected via USB cable to make use of its gimmicks. Wireless, it probably acts as a third party controller or something. Always use it wired. Some games make use of the gimmicks. Others dont.

Never had any real problems using it wirelessly other than in couch co-op situations where it can get a little dicey. I don't really find any of the special features worthwhile so rarely connect by usb.

Was he not asking if adaptive triggers work in silent hill? I assumed he was talking about the obvious, with the dual sense controller.

He was asking if the Xbox controller's triggers can function like those on the dualsense in SH2.

At least that's how I understood what he was asking.
