Can we talk about the apparent iCloud break-in?

The same thing can happen with android, when i first saw my of my phone pictures on the google networking site i was like wtf. Had to turn it off, may not have realized that they had the feature on. Also why are you storing nudes on your phones people. Not a good idea, i mean why keep them, your allowing for the possibility of this occurring.

Might be called out for victim blaming, sure but this is common sense.

9to5mac don't know shit. Of course they're from icloud. They're mixing up photostream with icloud backups.

icloud backups contain almost everything. Contacts, Messages, Photos, Calendars etc..

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them think their phone's camera works like a standalone one where as long as you don't lose the memory card noone can access them, not realizing that depending on their account settings their photos are being backed up online. Of course, that doesn't cover the cases where any pics were sent to anyone else.

I assume you're talking about professional nude photographs? This is way different imo, there's no tasteful/artistic angles and nothing left to the imagination in this Kate Upton leak.

Dunno, I guess we'll see if this damages her career or not, but I'd be surprised if people are as enthusiastic about her photoshoots anymore after already seeing the goods.

I agree with the other person that what's happening here is more than likely not downloading the pictures, but downloading the entire phone backups stored on iCloud and unpacking them. Which is why, for example, Mary Elizabeth Winstead can say she deleted the pictures and doesn't know why they're there (it's from an old backup).

That too - I should've mentioned backups as well.
 
Jennifer Lawrence's rep said they'll be taking legal action to any site that posts the pictures. What a horribly naive threat. At least her lawyers will be busy with C&Ds.

This is so sad.
