My current stereo system is going on 15 years old or so now. I've had to replace the CD changer once, the equalizer died a few years ago, and now my receiver is on it's way out. The remote has been dead for years too.
So I'm thinking of financing a low cost home theater system from Best Buy. Pay it off in under six months, screw interest. I saw they had a $200 Sony system in store. I farted around with it, and it was plenty loud, at least what I was comfortable with cranking it up to without being an ass.
They also have some Yamaha systems on the website for around $300.
What features should I be keeping an eye out for, and what are reliable brands? I'm not looking to break the bank on this one. I just want something I can watch movies and play games with. I don't entertain many guests, and I'm a po' boy.
Thanks.
