No price adjustment or email about a discount for FF12 here.
Is the FFXII discount still acting screwed up?
I got the price to $55.99 but the discount when I total my whole order is not 20%.
Should i contact CSR or will it be fixed later?
Or is the $55.99 price correct and there is no more 20% to be applied to it?
I'm trying to understand, PS4 owners who purchase the retail legacy edition of Infinite Warfare will also get to play Modern Warfare early like the digital orders yes?
Yes, $55.99 is the discounted price.
"Hello,
We're contacting you about your order xxxxxxxx for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - PlayStation 4 Standard Edition. We are writing to inform you that we miscalculated your promotional discount and have updated your preorder price to $55.99."
No email here either.Anyone else get that e-mail? I've yet to get it
I feel the same about Dragon Quest VII.Can't believe we'll have to buy shantae at full price..... THE SHAME.
Even though I know it'll be worth it.
Do you guys actually buy all of these games you order?! Some massive lists here.
My E3 pickups
Persona 5 + Resident Evil 7
God of War + Horizon
Titanfall 2
I once preordered 13-15 games once and that list didnt finish for almost 2 years. lol
I dont recommend it.
(Preordered 9 this time, but I'm likely canceling half)
Is the 20% off pre-order deal over? I don't see it appear when I preorder?
Amazon just got back to me about my inquiry yesterday, they took 20% off WoFF for me and brought it to $47.99 (since the 20% was still showing on the page when I contact them.) Though I never directly said which game it was that was missing the 20% on my order mind you, they determined that themselves. With the somewhat stricter policies in place, I'm surprised and grateful to them for applying the discount to it.
And I got this bullshit:
"Hello from Amazon.ca,
I completely understand your concern in this regard.
I checked and see that the ASINs that are discounted as a part of the Save up to $30 promotion.
The discount savings has already applied on the item list price. Hence you are not eligible for more 20% off
You Save: CDN$ 20.00 (25%)
I am truly sorry that we were not able to fulfill your expectations for this level of service. I hope that you will honor us with another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you in the future."
They really piss me off this year. The answer they gave me is complete bullshit. Game was 59.99% and said it qualified for 20% off and they never gave it to me. What is so hard to understand?
You could tell them the game was not listed under the $30 off promo but it was in the 20% instead. Doubt it would work now since they have removed the promo page. I got the same bs response from one of CS I talked to and after I told him the fact, he tried to convince me to wait 24 hours for "specialist team".

Can we all spam the tell us about a lower price page on Amazon for Gravity Rush 2 and Dragon Quest VIII? Best Buy has both for 59.99 and 49.99 respectively, instead of Amazon's 79.99 and 49.99.

Haha, nope. I probably end up cancelling 3 out of every 5 games I order. And out of the games I get, I probably quickly play through and sell half the games (sometimes for a profit). The only things I don't order are games that I absolutely know I wouldn't be into. Order the rest. Cancel closer to release if I don't think it's worth it.Do you guys actually buy all of these games you order?! Some massive lists here.

That's what I did and that is the answer from the "specialist team". Great specialist... I guess Luigi87 got a better specialist. For my Titanfall 2 inquiry, the specialist team wrote me to call them. At this point the 10$ more I can save is not worth it, fuck it.

There will be much hoop jumping with Amazon this year thanks to all of those 20% discounts that are, in actuality, $63.99 and no less discounts. Not to mention that their "solution" to fix an order that is inaccurate (either this week or following price drops in the future) is a manual price adjustment that wipes out the 20% altogether.I decided a while ago that I just don't want to try and game CSRs to get discounts out of Amazon, and that if that's what it would take to get me to pre-order a game I was probably better off waiting anyways. Good luck to everyone still trying, though, it's shitty that Amazon decided to change the game in a sneaky way this year even if I understand why.
So look forward to that in the future for any subsequent price drops that may follow. Almost all of those $79.99 games will behave similarly.
