And here's Walmart's page if Futureshop or Best Buy don't have it in stock, I price matched mine there (likely due to FS having it in stock online? Some might let you PM regardless)

Well after the big Staples price error about a month ago (they had the 2TB Western Digital Portable HDD for $10. o_O, was spread to other stores quickly to not honor it. :( ), this is probably the best price I know of at the moment for a HDD for what you get, and it's a LOT.

For Wii U owners this not only works but is in fact one of the tested models listed on Nintendo's website (2TB : STBV2000100 (US)):

Can't speak for PS4, XBOX One, etc. But I'd imagine there would be no issues.

For most of these drives, you can't take the drive out of the enclosure. I don't think the PS4 supports any external drives?

Oh, if you're talking about using the drive to replace the one in the PS4, I assume this is a 3.5" drive.

Don't see why that would matter? Mine is sitting on the shelf beneath my Wii U.

For PC's I guess it would matter which might be what you meant? But it's External so it's not designed to be removed. Maybe you meant for another reason?

He's talking about taking the drive out of the enclosure itself, which most of these products do not support without essentially breaking the case.

PS4 doesn't support external drives, I thought it's 2.5" that's why I was thinking about taking it out of the enclosure, it's doable actually, done it before for a 360 :) it was a 2.5" though!

Yeah, but why would you need to for a console (for instance, this is the Gaming side after all which was my main point in the thread because more and more consoles need them). :p

Unless PS4 had a slot for inserting HDD's like that? I'm confused. Wii U only uses external HDD's via USB.

What the fuck? o_O

What about Xbox One? Surely that supports them? PS3 and 360 do... right?

Oh yes, those old WDs. lol
It's funny that these drives can be cheaper than OEM drives though, considering all the extra packaging and plastic that they need to sell.
