Considering the cheapest plan I can find on their website is $52 per month for for 10/1 and 25 GB bandwidth, I'm going to assume that's either part of a package, something old they no longer offer, or you complained on the phone to them about your service.

But I'd rather stick with a smaller ISP and phone carrier over playing the rententions game with one of big telecoms. I know I'm still feeding the big telecoms cash regardless of where I go with my internet, but it's the small way I can show my disapproval of why this market is such crap for competition.

Looks like Kirby is $45, making my Best Buy E3 preorder useless.
Will they cancel the 2 other games in my order or remove the discount on them if I call to cancel Kirby? I'm really, really afraid of them messing something up, but I don't see the point in keeping the preorder as it's now more expensive than the retail price.

Wonder if Sony Store will have any deals. Probably not assuming that high ticket item stock like TVs could be sold off to other retailers before selling to consumers?
If you're fine paying the new retail price, then keep your preorder because it will be price adjusted to whichever of the two is lower at release.

Well I have gift cards I'd like to use elsewhere if I get no discount at all at Best Buy. I guess I could just bring the game back to Best Buy when I receive it instead of risking messing up my order by calling them...
I should've ordered at Amazon. The shipping is slower, but the costumer service is way better there. Dealing with BB/FS is a nightmare.

If it's anything like the last time Sony closed a bunch of its stores, the deals will be mediocre. They'll probably sell their demo units and such.
I remember buying some $10 PS3 games from them a few years ago so they did have deals (also some coupons and VIP offers).

Not really grandfathered as I upgraded from an old 30/5 to the 150/15 plan last fall. The plan is $73.99 if you own the modem (which I bought from FS for $100).
From $73.99, I get a $20 discount/month on both internet and cable for being a long term Rogers customer... no haggling with retentions, they just offered it (and no contract).
The 350 GB -> 550 GB is because I'm bundled with cable and home phone (cell phone is a business account so it's not bundled).

Lots of lost retailers today, oh well it is what it is. Target did a poor job entering our market and what it expected of consumers. I wonder what will happen with all this large and empty retail space now?

Teksavvy also has a zap the cap option. Basically if you agree to be throttled to 15mbps between 8pm and 12am, you get unlimited data.

Man, I got the guy to settle over the phone and I only got 80gb for that price.
The one in Bayshore mall, here in Ottawa, was empty most of the time I passed by. I went in a few times and I honestly did not see what they were offering that I couldn't get from one of the big box electronic retailers. Not to mention that their PS games/accessories collection was pretty sad in comparison to even Walmart.
The store itself was nice though, it was the first place where I saw that tiny really expensive OLED TV.

Bayshore, Kitchener, Eatons and Yorkdale were all dead whenever I visited them. Just about as dead as Microsoft stores currently are.

Unlimited 2am-8am is everyone. Zap the cap is only for people on 400gb caps and up. Also throttled speed depends on your regular speed. Just look at the chart.

Bought my TV from one in November or thereabouts. Basically a small boutique store you'd never go to for games, but the holiday TV prices were easily on par or better than FS.
Their problem was that they weren't in the business of matching BB/FS on sale pricing or sale schedules, so whenever they had a deal felt very random, and otherwise you were staring MSRP in the face.

Did anyone preorder the Monster Hunter 4 Collector's Edition from EB Games? I totally forget to do it until yesterday, but the listing was pulled off their website and according to the employee in store they are completely sold out everywhere. I don't think any other Canadian retailers are getting them, either.

I was having DSL problems a while ago but at some point I switched to cable and I've been very happy with them. I find their customer service can be iffy at times but I don't have any real complaints.
